> 3 dayThe battery pack wouldnt click into place, and the radio wouldnt power on. I had to cut some plastic from the front of the pack to get it to fit.

> 3 dayWorks just fine but didnt exactly fit the radio. Theres a thin plastic lip that has to be trimmed off along the bottom of the cavity where the radio fits in that has to be trimmed off. Why they couldnt just make it to fit the radio to begin with I dont know. Once this is trimmed off, it fits perfectly.

> 3 dayThis is a good option to have around when you don’t have access to power to charge the battery that came with the radio. You can use alkaline batteries or ni-cd/nimh rechargeable. Just make sure that you use the dummy battery when using alkaline. This should be on a sticker that you apply to the pack to always remember

Greater than one weekHow to buy separate charging cord to charge it. Do not know if it works since it does not sit properly into my radio

24-09-2024Not much to say, it powered my radio just fine off the 12V socket and I was able to save my battery for when I arrived at my destination

25-09-2024I received my battery and noticed the retail packaging that it came in was kinda off. So I opened it and found that it was leaking from the connectors on the back where the charging stand connects to it. Looks like maybe it got wet somewhere at some point prior to being shipped to me. So I requested an exchange and the second one I got was perfect. Worked right out of the box and fit the radio perfectly as expected.

> 3 dayGot this unit plus a couple of extra batteries and a better antenna for my initial foray into the world of amateur radio. Setup was easy using CHIRP software - got 127 channels programmed right outta the gate. Am still learning and discovering all the features of this radio as I study for my HAM license, but initial impression is positive. Follow up email from the folks at BaoFeng is reassuring. Buy with confidence.
