This is my 3rd one that I have purchased, because I have a new custom ironing station and have the wool pressing pads lined up next to each other under the top ironing cover. They work great in providing a solid base for my pressing needs, especially with steam. The 3 stars for value for money is only because I needed to buy 3 of them to cover my top and that got to be pretty pricey.

Ordered this to help speed up the ironing process for making masks. It has made ironing so much easier, I don’t have to get out a large ironing board and it allows me to get crisp seems quickly. It’s the perfect size, a decent price, and arrived quickly. It does leave a little lint on fabrics, but it’s not a big deal.

I researched this product and read many reviews. Not all reviews were great on the web, but I decided to take a chance. VERY glad I did. It is thick, so the surface beneath the pad does not get too hot (I still wouldnt do it on a nice dining table though), and any steam seems to evaporate out nicely. I have mine on a small workshop stand with a particle board top and it works very well. Obviously, its not large enough for pressing clothes - this is for the quilter/sewer.

This is a good pad. But you may want to consider that it looks like a scratching mat to cats. Alas. Now mine is one sided, and hidden from Hannibal.

This is the first time Ive used a wool ironing mat. Ive been sewing for several years and never owned one. But, this is a game changer when pressing quilt pieces or other seams open. Ive read the other reviews about the steam going through mat. I use this mat on my cutting mat and have no problems. The 17 x 17 is the perfect size for any size sewing room.

It is nice to be able to put this on a small stand next to my sewing machine and the heat from the iron does not go through.

I have a mall table to press my quilt blocks on and this mat just fits perfectly. It doesnt slide around and I get a good crisp press. I use steam and I have noticed a wool smell from the heat but it isnt very strong as some have said and it isnt offensive. I would highly recommend these mats even tho they are a little pricey. Worth the money. Ive tried to use a couple of different pressing mats and prefer this one.

I love this! I have it set up on my countertop and for the most part I was able to eliminate the big ironing board from my sewing loft. It’s called an ironing station which I found confusing. I would have liked more information on where and/or how to use it. Because I wanted to put the ironing board away, I ended up purchasing a silicone mat for both the ironing mat and iron which has worked out extremely well.

Was hesitant about ordering this item....read the reviews and decided to order. I love it. I had tried using an old wool blanket doubled over several times, and didnt think much of it. Took a chance and love this so much I will be ordering another one for our vacation home. This is a 1/2 thick high quality very sturdy mat, yet is light in weight. Im working on bear claw blocks that have lots of seams and this product makes my seams nice and flat. I received this item the day after ordering it.....delivered on a Sunday! If youre a serious quilter, yes, you need this.

I have used this a lot this week and really like that it is so light and that the heat does not penetrate through to the underside. It suggests not using steam which is the only downside, but you can use Best Press with no problems. The board I was using before was heavy, but very study. I had to quit using it as I was having trouble lifting it. This is so much better. I recommend it. I only wish I had bought a larger size, but this will work just fine.
