I could hardly wait to try out my 100% New Zealand Wool Pressing Mat. I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! My 1/2 square triangle units pressed so flat and crisp that I did not need to use my tailors clap, as I usually do to get a good, flat seam on my quilt blocks. The small unit did not move on the pressing mat, and I got a very flat press on the diagonal seam. I was using a little steam, but found that I get just as good a press without steam. There is a slight odor, not uncommon for wet wool, that seems to diminish with use. Thank you for this product. I am beyond pleased.

I bought this size to make a small ironing station next to my machine as I was piecing log cabin blocks. It worked perfectly...I pressed each piece after sewing and misted, pressed and weighted each block when completed. I was very pleased with the results. This size fits nicely on a small, adjustable Lifetime table. If you are using steam, do not place it on wood, unless you protect the wood surface. I plan to use this often in our RV.

Product does exactly what it was advertised to do. I have used it for two quilt projects so far and am more than pleased with this mat. The quality is as expected and the service was excellent. Thank you. NOTE I did purchase a similar mat from somewhere else and was not happy with it. Besides coming a month late the mat smelled terrible when the hot iron was used and the smell transferred to the material. Glad I tried a different supplier.

I have a mall table to press my quilt blocks on and this mat just fits perfectly. It doesnt slide around and I get a good crisp press. I use steam and I have noticed a wool smell from the heat but it isnt very strong as some have said and it isnt offensive. I would highly recommend these mats even tho they are a little pricey. Worth the money. Ive tried to use a couple of different pressing mats and prefer this one.

I was a little afraid to order this product from anyone, because of the problem of black gunk getting on fabric and iron listed in some reviews. I am glad I took a chance. First thing I did was try it on the wool setting. No black gunk. It didnt do a real good job of getting wrinkles out of fabric, but I picked one that had been folded for a while. I put the iron on the cotton setting waited a couple of minutes, and it was fine. I used a little spray bottle I had. I sprayed some water on it, and the wrinkles came out fine. No Black Gunk. I dont know why other reviewers got bad results, but I did not. I do appliqué, and this is going to be a blessing.

Since I started sewing, I need to iron a lot of fabrics. I have purchased few cheap ironing mats over the past 2 years, travel size, I place it over a kitchen cutting board and use valcore to secure it. Came across this wool ironing mat from instagram and it seems like a thing to try since I need to iron on a daily basis. It was more costly than my budget, however it was well worth it. Everything iron quickly now. Simple ! So very glad I made the purchase.

Didn’t use very often but when I started using regularly it left a buildup on my iron. The build up was black and could not be removed. I’m thinking maybe glue in the pad fibers. Would not recommend.

I bought it because I wanted a high quality ironing mat. Its very smelly at the beginning, I felt like I had many sheep in my room.... After a month of using, its better now. Hope it holds well because its expensive.

I purchased this mat with some skepticism, thinking it might be another quilting fad gizmo that may or may not live up to the hype. I did research online options, found this one to be the best value for size and price out there. When it arrived I was impressed with the quality of the felted wool and the smoothness of the surface. After using it a few times, I am even more impressed. Enough so that I am looking to purchase another one, in a smaller size, to have right at my side when I am piecing quilt blocks. I use the large one on my big ironing board and find it really great for pressing pieced borders, large blocks (>12), and machine embroideries. I am in love with this mat!
