Screen looks beautiful, when hooked up with Displayport runs great at 1440p at 144Hz, G-Sync compatibility works, etc., etc. Its just a damn good LG screen, not much more to say about it in that regard. Only complaint, and why Im knocking off a star, is the stand sits very tall. My desk has a monitor shelf, so the lowest height of the stand means the screen is way too high. I had to get a monitor arm just to get it lower. If your desk is low enough I highly doubt this would be a problem, and for a lot of people I imagine if it is youd just do what I do and get/already have a monitor arm anyways. Nothing changes the panel itself is fantastic, it has a standard VESA mount so you can avoid the stand, so I definitely recommend it. The Windows software for the OSD is great (Any chance of a Linux version, LG? No? Welp, ok.), too.

Good monitor, but horrible menu navigation.

Dont know what to tell you. Runs perfectly fine with no ghosting while gaming. Since it is my first monitor, I cannot not tell you if it is worth like $250-300 (when I got it). But, it is definitely a worthy contender if youre not a competitive player and just want to enjoy the scenery. Quick reminder: if you want to have 144 fps, you should first check in your settings under Display.

Ive only had this monitor for about a week but I feel like I have had enough time to make up my mind about it. I came from the VG248QE(TN panel) and immediately I could tell that the colors were a vibrant beauty and not at all saturated... except for the color red which is a little bit redder than it should be and thus caused Caucasians to have a little pink tint on them( you could say they are colored now, so its a welcome change of pace). The change from 1080p to 1440p was also something instantly noticeable. Free sync works great with my AMD GPU. HDR Effect feels like my eyes are getting attacked by a box of crayons, it not bright enough and it doesnt have local dimming so steer away from this if you want True HDR. As a competitive gamer I can without a shadow of a doubt say that the 144hz is giving me a gaming edge in Solitaire and Minesweeper. Unlike other gaming monitors this one didnt go with the disgusting tootsie roll RGB gamer aesthetic. Build feels and looks premium. The stand is metal and the monitor is plastic, but it feels like quality plastic, if you know what I mean. NSFW content looks great too but youll have to shill out cash to see content in 1440p. All in all, great monitor I recommend it!

I upgraded from an Acer ED273 which I had since August 2019. I liked that old monitor well enough - except it had a backlight flickering problem I could never fix. After plenty of research I decided this one was the adequate upgraded replacment. I ordered it as used - like new from a seller, and got what Im pretty sure was more or less a brand-new monitor, with a very good panel at that. Even lighting and very little backlight bleed - a HUGE improvement from the Acer one. I would of course expect that at roughly $150-$200 more expensive. The colors are beautiful - though the reds are somewhat oversaturated. This monitor does tend to overblow most colors, but doesnt really bother me much. Its only red that looks nutso to me! The 144hz refresh rate and 4k resolution are a treat to the eyes. It was easy to set up and feels sturdy - though I am using a third party desk mount arm rather than the stock stand. The VESA mount seems strong and I looove the control stick for navigating the settings menu - the old Acer one had an INFURIATING control stick that, on several occasions, left me wanting to bite the monitor clean in half. I cant even describe how beautiful and responsive this one is compared to the garbage crap on the Acer ED273! I will be updating this review as monitor use progresses over the years to keep up with wear-and-tear and overall lifetime of the device. I know, initially, I am STOKED to have this beauty! I can hardly wait to really sit and play games on it - I only tested some 4k gameplay video in the mean time, which looked amazing!

TL:DR - great monitor, recommended, great color, almost as good as an IPS, frame rates are perfect. Good solution without requiring tons of GPU power like 4K. Pros - Color - Blacks/Contrast - Refresh Rate - Resolution/aspect ratio Cons - Possible QC issues - One stuck pixel I have had this monitor for about two months now. The monitor overall is a fantastic display and I personally really love the high refresh rate for gaming while having good color reproduction, and decent blacks in comparison to TN panels. I have always been one to buy IPS only and sacrifice having 100, 120, or faster refresh rates for gaming for the sake of color and image quality. While I feel IPS panels do still have stronger color especially the high cost pro panels, this is a far better color option than TN panels and allows for the high refresh rate as well, so personally it is a happy compromise in my opinion. My only complaint is I have owned a good number $300, to $500, to even $600+ monitors and all have come with no issues, no stuck pixels, no dead pixels, nothing, this particular one came with a stuck white pixel. Which indicates a possible QC issues for LG on these panels. Fortunately it is in a spot that I cant even notice or tell its there and it is only one, I have attempted to run tools and videos that would repair it and unstick the pixel as they say the pixel but, to no luck so far. I could have simply shipped it back to amazon and they would have gladly exchanged it but, honestly this one pixel is in a spot that is of little impact to its day to day usage and gets lost in gaming all together. Near the upper right bezel, so very minimal in its distraction. So I decided to live with it and really have no complaint otherwise about this display. I have had 1080p monitors, 21:9 3440 and even 2560 resolution ultrawides, and to be honest I find this to be the ideal sweat spot for productivity, compatibility with games and content, as well as the least GPU intensive while getting higher pixel counts and an overall better usable resolution. I also prefer the height of this resolution wise and aspect ratio to the lower cost ultra wides with similar resolutions. I debated on 4K and that is just in my opinion not quite here yet, takes way too much GPU to get good frame rate in games and some applications just do not scale well on 4k still. While I would prefer the PPI of 4k, this is the better of the two while still getting great frame rates in games. With my laptop which is an Alienware R15 from 2017 it has a GTX 1060 and this display at full resolution and most things ultra or high quality I tend to get 90+ to 130+ frame rate maximums and average about 60 FPS which is a good sweet spot. I am in the process of building a new desktop but, I found this pretty good for a resolution jump from the native 1080p of the built in display to this. Which is even better than I use to get with my 3440 21:9 UW display I had a year or two back. I do miss 16:10 aspect ratios as the standard for computers however. Miss the extra height. Oh well 16:9 is what we get now.

For many years I have been using a TN panel for competitive gaming, and a 2nd more color accurate monitor for editing videos and photos. This monitor is not only a combination of the two, but looks even better than both! My concern was that the 1ms that is advertised is actually unusable due to overshoot, when using the faster setting. I use the fast setting which is advertised as 5ms, and dont notice a difference than my 1ms tn panel. The truth is most panels (even tn) that say they are 1ms truly are not. If you look at benchmarks comparing this to other tn panels, it actually has the same response time, if not very slightly slower. As far as the colors for this monitor goes, I honestly didnt realize how much games would look different than my tn panel. It looks like I put all of my games on a higher graphics setting, as everything is much more clear. I have not done editing with this monitor, so I cant speak for that, but I have watched a couple videos in 2k and was blown away. As far is the back lighting uniformity goes, it is hard to say if I got lucky or LGs quality control is much better than other manufactures, as I dont see how the uniformity could be anymore perfect. I honestly cant tell where the back light is coming from which was a concern of mine, with buying the monitor off amazon. I also am going to post this review on other websites, as I have seen comments from other people wondering how good this monitor actually is. So if you see it on other websites with different account names, its not because LG payed me. I purchased this monitor with my own money from Amazon, as I needed an upgrade.

I bought this with the idea that I would easily have a easy advantage over other consumers of a different product due to lower resolution and low fps, and sure enough, I was wrong but at least the visuals look nice and the gaming experience has now become more enjoyable due to the upgraded hertz on the monitor. Warzone 2 is even more lit now. I’m better than the majority, thank you. Minecraft also runs amazing with mods.

For gaming it’s a really incredible monitor. Great picture quality. If you wanna buy it just for gaming it’s the perfect for the price.

This is for the LG 27GL850-B Nano monitor. I wish I had bought an IPS panel sooner. Everything is so much more vivid and clear, and the monitor has very little light bleed (I have a small bleed in my top left corner I almost never notice). Mine came with no dead pixels, which finally broke my unlucky streak of first-new-monitor-always-has-dead-pixels. The joystick menu is the best monitor menu Ive ever used, its fast and responsive, and is easy to switch inputs or turn settings on and off. This monitor doesnt have hardware G-Sync, but the G-Sync compatibility does make a difference, especially if a game you play is prone to screen tearing or sudden frame drops. Being able to drop frames but still have pretty smooth gameplay feels much better. This monitor also doesnt really have the hardware for true HDR, but whenever something allows me to turn on HDR, everything still looks more vivid. Not quite what a real HDR monitor will hand you, but for 1440p 144hz and (almost) G-Sync? Im willing to put up with it for the price. Doom Eternal on this monitor utterly blew my mind. Im very happy, and might buy a second one soon. My current second money looks so gross next to this one.

Immerse yourself in your favorite games with this fast IPS monitor featuring a 1ms (GtG) response time, wide viewing angles, and high color accuracy with sRGB 99%. See moving objects on the screen more clearly with a high native 144 Hz refresh rate and 1ms Motion Blur Reduction. Dynamic Action Sync reduces input lag and elevates your gameplay, allowing you to respond to your opponents quickly, while Black Stabilizer allows you to see them more clearly in the dark. Use the Crosshair feature for enhanced vision and precision in first-person shooters. Adjust the tilt, height, and pivot for the best ergonomics, ensuring that you have the most comfortable viewing position to play your games.
