    My iMac had a disk hd that caused performance to be very slow. Once I plugged in this drive to the thunderbolt port and booted from the external drive it’s like a new computer. Boot times went from six minutes to one minute. Highly recommended for performance increase.

    I would not purchase this SSD drive again. It was not at all intuitive to set up and the backup of not much data took about an hour. The drive was quite hot by the time the backup was finished

    I tried to partition this drive in order to be able to backup two time machines. The partition symbol stayed grey. It turns out that you have to download some sort of software from samsung to do this. I was never able to find the actual software.
