I bought this magnetic pin holder because I have dogs that are always sitting at my feet while I sew and I didnt want them to get a dropped pin by mistake. It came quickly and well packaged. It certainly is heavier than I expected and the magnet is strong. I love the peace of mind knowing my pins are all accounted for. As a plus, the pins it comes with are actually pretty good too.

Its still magnetized, but day before yesterdy (and its less than a week old), it got knocked off the ironing board, and when I picked it up, it had a big chunk broken not-quite-out of the rim of the plastic housing. Now, I realize that the magnet still mags -- not a single pin dropped off when it fell -- or if they did, they fell into space as it hit the floor, and immediately bounced back up onto the upside-down surface of the blue plastice. I also realize that not all plastics are made equal and some may cost a bit more to house the magnet in than others, but could Blue Feather not have specified to the factory to use one that was not expected to break when it hit linoleum over concrete when dropped from the height of an ironing board? After all, many of us have playful cats. Playful kids. Some of us even have periodic playful earthquakes (we know who we are.) Things do fall off ironing boards. This is within the Prime period for sending it back, but Im not sure its ethical to ask to send it back, damaged, so Im keeping it. As I say -- the magnet still mags. But I implore you, Blue Feather -- have a talk with your manufacturer and see if you can come up with a more durable plastic. If I find out you have, Ill buy the improved model. And write a new review.

I first need to say What a company the first one I received was packaged with three very heavy items and of course this item was broken. Had no hassles and got my replacement the very next day! Undamaged and I love this product! The strong magnet grabs all the pins I give it. This magnet helps me in my quilting by getting the pins but also by letting them go just as easily as I put them near the magnet. Also small enough to fit in my machine or next to giving me room to sew !! What a time saver.

This item has been a life saver. I did not like pushing pins into the cushion as I removed them from my garments. I used to use a small cup but I tisked knocking it over. With the grabbit being magnetic i just about drop the pins close to or directly on top and they stay put. This is extremely helpful if like me, you remove pins quickly as you sew and have no time to neatly place it in a pin cushion. The grabbit is awesome and I no longer rely on a pin cushion or cup.

Pins and I have a love/hate relationship. I get so caught up in my sewing that I can lose track of where I put pins as I pull them out, they can end up on the floor, under my machine, or get hidden by fabric that I sweep away on my cutting mat, only to feel that sharp pain...well, you know what I mean. This is so great!! I dont have to be precise with a usual pincushion, etc., now. The truth is that you can almost toss them in the general direction of this Grabbit and theyre sucked onto it! They line up in a nice way, as well, so that you can go for a pin without worrying about sticking yourself, as happens in a pin box, etc. Id happily gift this to any sewer I know!!

I own several. Works great, easy to grab pins. Not sure why they include the big pins. (Maybe it looks better in a picture)

super powerful!! Holds all my pins and even comes with some as well! I just keep it next to my sewing machine so that when I pull a pin on the fabric I just drop it on the magnet and it sticks securely into place!

Easy way to carry pins from one area to another without spilling them all over. Easy to keep in my hands and made my work so simple. Thank you

I received this pin holder last night and just started using it this morning. Oh, my! It is good! The magnet seems to be strong and holds my pins down flat, all going in one direction, which makes picking them up easier. I have another brand of magnet pin holder that is frustrating because it makes the pins fan out and stand up in different directions. My fingers are always getting stuck. The tray is small, only about 3 1/2 diameter, but it holds a good amount of pins. Plan to order another one.

Have one at every sewing machine. Just toss pins and it grabs them. Holds a seam ripper handy Will pick up the pins from the floor.
