I’ve had a long series of magnetic pin holders but none as effective and well designed as this one. The magnet is strong enough to hold 75+ pins even when turned upside down. The gentle curved top makes it easy to grab a single pin. Good design well made.

The color is not teal and the pins have large heads on them. The product serves its purpose.

Its still magnetized, but day before yesterdy (and its less than a week old), it got knocked off the ironing board, and when I picked it up, it had a big chunk broken not-quite-out of the rim of the plastic housing. Now, I realize that the magnet still mags -- not a single pin dropped off when it fell -- or if they did, they fell into space as it hit the floor, and immediately bounced back up onto the upside-down surface of the blue plastice. I also realize that not all plastics are made equal and some may cost a bit more to house the magnet in than others, but could Blue Feather not have specified to the factory to use one that was not expected to break when it hit linoleum over concrete when dropped from the height of an ironing board? After all, many of us have playful cats. Playful kids. Some of us even have periodic playful earthquakes (we know who we are.) Things do fall off ironing boards. This is within the Prime period for sending it back, but Im not sure its ethical to ask to send it back, damaged, so Im keeping it. As I say -- the magnet still mags. But I implore you, Blue Feather -- have a talk with your manufacturer and see if you can come up with a more durable plastic. If I find out you have, Ill buy the improved model. And write a new review.

Recently, I have had a bad case of either the knock overs or the dropsies. This has saved my sanity. I have one of those telescoping wands with the magnet and the light at the end of it. It doesnt compare. I like it much better when I dont have to pick up my spilled sewing pins. I knocked this off my sewing machine cabinet, and went to pick up the pins. None of them spilled! None! Zip! 0!Nada! Im such a happy camper. And, something worked just as its supposed to! Thank you Grabbit and Amazon.

I own several. Works great, easy to grab pins. Not sure why they include the big pins. (Maybe it looks better in a picture)

This product is a must for gathering your pins and not accidently pricking yourself. It makes picking up my pins up way more faster, and saves me time and the pain from accidently pricking myself. It is a absolute deal for its price and I would recommend it to people who sew. It even came with pins as well which was a neat little surprise.

Purple Grabbit magnetic pincushion has a very strong magnet and keeps the pins in place. This is my favorite brand for a quality item. I loved the purple & gifted this to a granddaughter that Im teaching how to sew.
