If you have a leaky/running off and on Kohler toilet, this part replaces the red ring that is on the bottom of the black tube in the toilet tank. The original red ring came apart easily over the years, and this replaces it. Check out the toilet lid underside for parts options, and if you cant determine it, call Kohler and ask what they recommend, with the part number required. To install this part: switch off water below tank, flush the toilet to drain the water in the tank, open the lid, remove black tube (squeeze widthwise), and scrape off red ring that has eroded. then replace it with this ring. replace lid, and turn on water, and flush! 5 minutes to replace, countless gallons of water saved

Great price at about $6 for an original kohler seal for the toilet tank canister. Watch some YouTube videos on how easy to replace and install new seals- job done in less than 10 mins and save yourself time calling for plumber and get a plumbers bill.

The toilet kept running and I looked on YouTube for the answer. It was this simple little ring. I tried cleaning the old one first. But there seemed nothing wrong with it; nothing to clean off of it. So purchased this and replaced the old one. It works like a charm! And it was much cheaper than having a plumber come out and do it!

This was a perfect replacement. Don’t gamble and buy one of the off-brand replacements. Save your time and money and buy OEM.

This seal took five minutes to install, and it fixed my constantly running toilette problem. A new Kohler fixture that in less than a year developed the running water problem. Now its one of the new efficiency models, so I could not run out and drop a conventional Fluidmaster replacement in. I asked my plumber( as he was replacing the old cast iron under my kitchen sink) about it; sounds like a bad seal to me his reply. I matched that with the diagram on the web and concluded it was worth a shot. But, Im not going to run all over town looking for a seal that only fits a specific make and model. Amazon has never let me down,so type the part number from the Kohler manual in the search box and bam; six bucks at my door in two days (Prime Member). Next one click. Installed it in five minutes and my water headache was gone. For the dollars involved one of the best purchases I have ever made. My praise is not for Kohler but for Amazon in saving me gas, time and the fear of having to pay a plumber for something that in the older models was a easy fix.

I put off changing the gasket for awhile and I wish I hadn’t. It couldn’t have been easier. I watched a short video on how to remove the canister and it came right out. The whole process took less than 5 minutes

Had a Kohler toilet that had a leak due to bad o ring. I looked up the part and this was it. I installed it in about 1 min. Problem solved. Very satisfied.

So... do I give this five stars because its exactly what it is? Like, if you need one of these, this is the thing you buy. One-star or five-star, this is the product your toilet requires, right, so, what could this star rating possibly even mean? If you need a new one of these youre going to buy it no matter what I say. Unless you just want to throw your old toilet out and get a new one, but like, if you were that type of person you wouldnt be reading Amazon reviews of canister flush valve seals, we both know that. Its great. It works exactly as advertised.. how could it not? Its the correct canister flush valve seal for the model of toilet I poop into, right, of course it works. The instructions dont explain how to take the toilet apart to change it. Should they? I dont know. Im taking a star off for it, Ill tell you that. Ultimately I figured out how to just force it into place but I would have much rather put it on the right way. But here we are, and the toilet flushes great. Five-star product, one-star instructions, I guess.
