I purchased this to fix a toilet that was periodically refilling throughout the day due to an insecure seal under the flush canister. Im not much of a handyman, but I took a chance on this since it was only about $5, much cheaper than calling a plumber. It turned out to be an easy fix, and the toilet has not been losing water since installing the new canister seal about a month ago.

We have a Kohler Cimarron toilet that has the Red valve seal. This was a perfect fit replacement. Reason we got it was because after 2 years the toilet became very difficult to flush; you really had to put a lot of pressure on the flush handle - it was like it was stuck. Replacing this made all the difference - its back to new. A little tip here, the package comes with instructions on the back so when you come to the part where it shows to rotate the center disc portion of the canister mechanism counter clockwise to loosen, well when I did that it sounded like the plastic was going to snap at the shaft. So heres what you do, just lift the actual canister up enough to reach down below it and grab the center shaft at the base where it connects to the toilet tank. It will feel like a + sign in your hand - take that and turn it counter clockwise to loosen it, and then do the same (clockwise) to tighten it. Its a much sturdier way to take the canister mechanism off and on without feeling like youre going to snap the center shaft off.

Easy to install! Solved our issue with toilet refilling ALL the time! The old one was definitely worn and had bubbles. Lots of youtube tutorials on how to change this out. If your kohler toilet is running refilling a lot give this a shot before replacing!

My daughter and I were able to easily replace the gasket on my Koehler toilet. I ended up paying a little more for a genuine Koehler gasket and there was a You-Tube explaining how to do the replacement. Very straightforward!

This is a Kohler replacement part. It is very good quality and expect it to last years under my water conditions. It takes about 5 minutes to replace - the canister must be removed so that the seal can be easily accessed. Use care when removing the upper yellow or black plastic disk where the water line attaches. I cracked it on another toilet.

We had a bathroom renovation two years ago and the new toilet had a canister flush valve. I heard the sign of a flapper valve leak, spontaneously refilling, and discovered the canister in its place. I watched a clip on YouTube that explained simple maintenance of the canister. I ordered this part and when it arrived it took just a few minutes to replace the o-ring. When I turned the water on, the spontaneous leak was gone.
