> 3 dayThis is a 2nd consecutive return of this Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E500B/AM). First one was defective out-of-the box, the second worked well enough for a short time after I cloned my Win 7 Pro 64 OS onto it. I had the urge actually to return it right off, because the gold contacts of the SSD drive seemed wrong: not shiny and smooth as usual, quality products show. The SSD was speedy as expected, and brought my Windows performance rating from 5.9 up to 7.6, as my former Western Digital 1TB HD was the cause of the 5.9 rating. However, within a few days, my computer started to have random and frequent error events that either freezes (while surfing the web or using Windows Explorer and other software) or fails to start up. Most times, if I had the patience and time to find and execute fixes, I could regain function for my desktop, but I finally got fed up and decided to return the SSD and go back to my slow hard drive.

> 3 dayIt is amazing. Was a little difficult to install since i am not super good at building computers, but man this made my old hard drive look like complete trash. for me to install and save stuff to the SSD I needed to go into bios and change the mode I was on. If i remember correctly it was to change it off of legacy mode. Was a headache to figure out but completely worth it. It is super fast and i love it. Highly recommend!!

> 3 dayWorks well, but be ceraful before installing on Macbook as you will have to install then start Mac in recovery mode, format and install ios. Mac doesnt recognize if you try to connect it externally.

> 3 dayI used it to improve my MacBook Pro 2010, which was getting too slow. It was extremely easy to change and all the process with files transfer was a single step (2-3 hours for my Mac). Great product and investment

Greater than one weekI installed these a couple of times in older Macs and now they run like new. Throw away your old drives, because you will never go back to the spinners once you have an SSD

> 3 daySamsung’s EVO grade SSD’s offer bleeding edge speed for their price, sure you can get cheaper SSD’s (Kingston’s 120GB cost $20) but for the speed and capacity, this product is well worth the price.

Greater than one weekWe have long passed the point where the SATA interface is the bottleneck for SSDs but these drives are still among the best ways to speed up older computers using traditional hard drives, particularly when running Windows 10.
