Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Such an itty-bitty laptop ssd, but the difference in performance from an hdd is amazing. So I have a Dell Inspiron 13 5378 all-in-one laptop/tablet, and earlier I replaced the 8gb RAM with 1x16gb RAM. Yesterday I replaced my hdd with the 860 EVO from Samsung. All you really need is a usb to SATA cable, a cloning tool, and a teeny screwdriver to remove whatever screws that keep the laptop securely in place. Did a backup first on a flash/thumb drive before cloning. Swapped the hdd with the ssd, restarted the laptop and poof! I now have an upgrade that was worth pennies.

The prices of SSD have finally dropped enough to justify buying one, and Oh my is it great. On my old HDD it took Windows 10-20 minutes to boot first boot on this new SSD was under 1 minute. Everything else fells faster and snappy as well.

This hard drive is amazing. I used to have a SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive) in my laptop, and I thought that was pretty fast, but after 3 years I needed to change and this upgrade showed me how slow my laptop really was. My computer could boot up in under 10 sec after switching. (Trust me I counted) I would recommend this drive to anyone looking to replace/upgrade.

Put this in an old macbook pro and startup time went from about 4.5 minutes to under 10 seconds. I dont use this computer for gaming, but it made an 8 year old laptop run like new.

This drive works great and it fast. I previously had the 850 EVO and It was fast, But this has newer tech inside and faster algorithms. I noticed increased data reading and writing, as well overall general good performance. This is the main drive I use it for everything, I use no other mechanical drives.
