I bought this for my 2014 Mac mini to speed things up. I have the base model with the standard 500gb hard drive. It was painstakingly slow most the time. Taking forever to open programs, theyd sit there bouncing for 10-15 seconds to open. Id open the web browser and type in a web address and it would take 10 seconds for it to autofill in the rest of the address. The DAW I use for recording would sometimes freeze.

Ive been using Samsung SSDs for both myself and family members to give their computers a massive boost in performance. When other cheaper brands have gone out, the Samsungs just keep on going. They also honor their 5 year warranty, which is nice. I recently put one of these in my PlayStation 4 Pro, which then allows me to enable a performance option in the settings. It cuts down on load times in games by up to 50%.

i started out using ssd drives from other makers a decade back but after my first Samsung drive i have stuck with them since. i keep two spare drives on hand and clone the drive in my pc every week or at most two weeks. that way when there is a problem i have a recent copy i can just slap in the pc and be good. for me the result has been no data losses and a lot of peace of mind.

Very very easy to copy from old hdd to ssd. PC is a lot faster than previous.

My first SSD does not disappoint. Now that the prices have come down for these types of drives I had no qualms about spending the money on one and hooooly cow was it worth the upgrade from a standard hard drive, they dont even compare its so much faster and perfect for a gaming rig.
