Greater than one weekThis is good quality but it’s not touch screen and it dies a bit quickly. The display quality is super and it’s durable.

> 3 dayI love how light this laptop is and its so thin! Super fast also. They only things I would like to have had in hindsight is a lighted keyboard, but other than that its a great laptop. The fan is a little loud sometimes, but not all the time.

> 3 dayI am in the return process currently for this product. While it is lightweight and has a nice look, there are glitches. I have also experienced the blinking screen that one review mentioned. This happens randomly and this is hard to navigate without a second monitor because the blinking prevents you from selecting icons on the desktop to navigate to where you need to go. I also experienced a few occasions where the spacebar stopped working as I was writing. Kinda need the spacebar. Also experienced audio crackling on zoom calls as well as when working and listening to music. The audio completely went out at least twice and I am still not sure why - just restarted several times and then it somehow restored itself. I did the HP diagnostics but you are never sure if that solves the issues. The biggest issue happened last week - I contacted Asurion for support to troubleshoot when at startup the screen went black. I tried everything I could as well as restarting and troubleshooting with YouTube videos. Asurion, was able to help me establish a restore point and that helped for about a week and then the screen blinking continued again, too. I contacted Asurion again only for them to offer that troubleshooting was not worth it and that I should contact Amazon for a refund since this is a brand new computer.

26-09-2024The reviews are not dramatic. I choose to ignore them. The touch screen went out first. Then the whole screen died. Seller did nothing to help. Don’t buy this. Replaced with a dell for the same cost.

> 3 dayI ordered a HP 15-1036, what they sent me was a HP 15 -1059MS. Which I guess was an upgrade being that I had more ram and a touchscreen. More ram was great, and I guess the touchscreen was good too but being that I’m clumsy I would tend to touch the screen while using this keyboard which would mess things up, Which is no big deal being that’s not HP’s fault. I had had the computer only for five months when it went belly up and stop working. I had a bios update recently but the computer just stopped working. The Caplock LED kept flashing a code, three long flashes and too short. I called phone support, and honestly they were great but they were not able to resolve my problems. The phone support suspect that my issues might have been Bios related. So I was forced to send it in for warranty work. Now I have to wait 2 to 3 months for turnaround time, which is frustrating because I recently had a stroke and I depended on the computer for paying bills and ordering meds. I also depending on that machine for music and entertainment being that I was forced to retire. Anyways it’s frustrating to be without my computer. I must say however that the screen and the picture on the screen was superior to anything I’ve ever owned. I really enjoyed the computer but I’m not happy that it went belly up after only five months I don’t know if it was Microsoft for faulty bios, or equipment failure on HP end. I expected much more out of HP honestly and I’m very frustrated.

> 3 dayI debated on this one or a lenovo with similar specs but then this one came down in price by $80 overnight. I am very happy with it. Its not my main computer but it works well for everything I have needed which is primarily data work in websites, remote access to support several client computers and some paint.net image manipulations. Its been fast for what I ask it to do. SSD is superfast and boots up in 10 seconds. The power cord port seems a little flimsy. Its in the back left side corner. I have to be aware not to hit it on anything. I hope longterm it is not a problem - I can be tough on laptops. Battery life is good.
