Love this product. I’m new to embroidery and have used this to print pictures on to embroider, making the learning process easy. I ONLY use a hoop smaller than the page so that it stays taught as I’m stitching. Tip 1: I have is to clean the needle as soon as it gets tougher to stitch- the ‘glue’ builds up on your needle and just needs cleaned off! Tip 2: I take my project out of the embroidery hoop and rinse. I don’t use soap! Any tough spots I lightly rub with my fingers. Then lay flat to dry and put back in the hoop!

Great find! Easy to go through my printer, stuck nicely on my sweatshirt material. The water soluble part worked perfectly. Highly recommend.

I wish I had found this years ago. I do a lot of hand embroidery from original designs. I cant draw, but I paste together images I find online and print them out. I have used several methods of transferring the design to fabric, but some detail is always lost. I just created a very detailed design to embroider for my granddaughter, and using the Sulky Stabilizer I was able to get all the details onto the fabric. It does add some weight to the fabric, but not enough to be a problem. And I dont have to worry about distorting the picture when I stretch it in my hoop. I didnt rate ease of removal because I havent finished it yet.

Im fairly new to embroidery and have been using tracing paper a lightbox, and tracing pencil that is Red. I have been looking for a way to have my pattern show up darker so its easier to follow and the Sulky Solvi is a GAME CHANGER! I followed the directions and put a piece of the paper into my laser printer and brought up the image on my computer and hit print. The image prints beautiful on the Sulky Solvi (I can see it soooo well)! The paper backing comes off with ease and you place your sticky side of the pattern down on water your are embroidering on. Get your needles and thread going - you will LOVE being able to really see the pattern well! Once your project is complete, follow the directions by gently agitating it in water a few minutes to remove the sticky paper. I helped it along by using my fingers to gently rub in places. Rinse well and let your project air dry. There was no sticky residue left. Game Changer for me - this will be the way I put my pattern down from now on - thanks Sulky!!!

I used this to transfer a series of twelve designs on to fabric squares to use in a quilt. Tracing would have been way too time consuming! The product worked just as advertised. It printed clearly and transferred easily. I had no trouble working with the design trough the product, and it did NOT gum up my needle. Indeed, the added stability to the fabric worked to my advantage, in my opinion. THE ONLY REASON it did not get five stars was that, for me, it did not wash out as easily as I would have liked. I stitch a very tight line, and it was hard for me to get the water and the necessary agitation under the stitches in order to remove the dark line of the product. Also I had the same problem with the (tight) French knots. I had to scrub harder that I liked to remove the visible black dot. It was nerve wracking, as I was afraid I would dislodge my hard work! I must add that I WAS eventually able to remove the product with my efforts. I am buying more to make another set, so I this was not a deal breaker for me, and I would definitely recommend it as a useful and time saving aid for the stitcher.

This product was so easy to use. It ran through our laser printer smoothly and the outline was very sharp. As per the instructions, the material dissolved in the wash. Cant wait to use on another project!

It prints perfect with a laser printer, adheres easily, and removes without a problem with warm water. I soak it in warm water a couple minutes, and it floats right off. Running it under a warm tap quickly rinses all of it off then. One thing I found: if your pattern is printed close to the edge of the Sulky, it can lift when pushing a needle through. The solution: leave a border! It makes it a tiny bit harder to push a needle through, but not by much.
