Greater than one weekIf you are doing a podcast honestly it’s an amazing microphone. Question really is if it’s worth the 400 dollars. In my opinion no. I feel the sm58 is the clear winner by shure 99 bucks and it sounds beautiful. I still give it 5 stars for sound quality but for me it was not worth it.

Greater than one weekI have a love/hate thing going w/ My SM7B. On the +side, its an top-rate mic I use w/ My RodeCaster Pro board in My radio station & its a perfect pairing so far w/ no complaints in quality & sound capturing & production.

> 3 dayI am the vocalist in a metal band in which the vocals are screamed rather than sung. I ordered this mic months ago because I heard that is is great for this application and I now back this opinion. This microphones ability to handle some of the most abusive and loud vocal tones and deliver them with clarity and power is unreal. The mic DOES NEED a lot of push though. I am using a Tascam USB interface and and I have to almost run it full blast to get the full effect out of this mic but when you can get it running smoothly it will impress you. Aside from metal screams, it also performs great at micing bass drums and very loud guitar amps. In fact, when our band records this mic plays some role in recording EVERYTHING its just that versitile and powerful. Worth the $$$$

> 3 dayAWESOME MIC!!! The only issue is they dont tell you that when you plug in the mic its at -57dBA, so you need to preamp it for anything to get the full range. Now you either have to buy a separate preamp or have gear that has it already built in.
