This mic is built to last and won’t disappoint.

I’ve owned cheap 10$ mics to $300 mics. So far this one is easily my favorite mic. My room is semi treated and it does not pick up sounds at all. It’s super clear. If you’re on the fence about this like I was for so long, get it! And definitely get a cloud filter. It’s absolutely worth it. Only side note is that I prefer the crisp clean tone of the Rhodes NT-1 but the Sm7b beats it overall.

Really disappointed with this mic, no side rejection, sounded chaep. its suppose to be a cardiod mic that only picsk up whats in frotn of it but t was getting everything in the room and then some. Disappointed with the lack of rejection from side or distance. Sound quality was rather mid rangey. My overall thoughts on this? Eh..returned.

We use the SM7b on the podcast Matt and Mattinglys Ice Cream Social. It is a great mic for broadcast. Ive also used it for singers. Fantastic!

A perfect microphone for my use. It follows your voice like a mother, giving birth to her offspring, which is good, clear, warm sound. Also, it is very good at not picking up background noise, even though, somehow, when it detects your voice, it picks up everything. I wouldnt want to be without this one any more. I have used it for home recording, but, it is hard to keep it out of the hands of local studio professionals that I know. And, obviously, it has been used to record some of the greatest stars in music. The adjustments on the back were crucial to having it perform the way I wanted, so take note of them. Highly recommended to everyone.
