The Sennheiser e609 is a great sounding mic. For many years I used the Shure SM57 to mic my guitar amp I always had to bring a mic stand for the SM57. Most of the venues we play at that had their own sound enginer would let me try the Sennheiser I like it because first of all you can hang the mic in front of the cabinet (no mic stand needed) even though it came with a mic clip it also handled the high db with no distortion I got the true sound of the amp with no discoloration wich I got from the SM57. A very good mic at a very good price.

It’s another classic but Sennheiser. It’s a solid guitar mic for the price. Sounds great and it is easy to use.

I was having difficulty getting a clear crisp sound out of my SM57s, so I ordered two of these guys and boom! Pairing this mic with two 57s sounds better than the room sound by far. Clean, less noise, and extremely present. Youll love these mics, especially for the money.

Great reproduction of guitar amp output, as well as recording music output from speakers. Very happy with this mic... you cant go wrong with this Sennheiser.

Ive owned one of these for a few years. I bought it because supposedly it worked well on guitar amps. I ended up not using it much. It seems too bright and brassy for me. It might work well in combination with a condenser mic a few feet away from the speaker, but on its own, I have found little use for it. These days Ill put up this mic and an SM57 and record guitar with both. Nine times out of ten Ill actually use only the SM57 at mixdown. I guess Im not a big Sennheiser fan. An e905 that I bought for snare also sounds tinny and seldom gets used.

This mic really is all its cracked up to be. Buy it!
