For 80 bucks this mic was a steal. I love my Traynor amp and this Mic really captures the tone pretty much exactly as it sounds out of the speaker. Its really easy to set up and requires no stand so works exactly as advertised, though the chord does twist up a little so I find it works best with some masking tape applied to hold it in place. Ive even tried it as a vocal mic and its doable, but I wouldnt necessarily recommend it for that. I compared against an SM57 and I think this one sounded slightly better and is easier to use as well.

The best mic for guitar amp.

I was having difficulty getting a clear crisp sound out of my SM57s, so I ordered two of these guys and boom! Pairing this mic with two 57s sounds better than the room sound by far. Clean, less noise, and extremely present. Youll love these mics, especially for the money.

I bought this mic because people kept bumping or knocking over my SM57 on a short stand while setting up and performing. Over all the clarity is very good, the larger diaphragm (compared to the SM57) picks up a larger portion of the speaker cone and the mic is very easy to use. Very little noise and a great form factor. Ive even taken to using this paired with my SM57 when recording my guitars.

After taking some time to investigate and choose a mic to record instruments, I am very pleased to have choosed this mic. My recordings sound great, very easy to use and set up. Very happy with my purchase.
