> 3 dayGreat price for the storage but I’m getting corruption errors as of day 2. Every time I use the drive, no matter which computer I use it on, I get an error saying the drive needs to be repaired. I have multiple 500GB portable drives that don’t have that issue. I’ll give it more time and provide updates.

> 3 dayWhen the hard drive came I immediately noticed that the box was clearly damaged, dirty, and had been opened. The product inside was the same -- clearly opened and not new. The hard drive itself was silver (not black as described) and had scratches all over it. The hard drive I received was not at all what I thought I would be receiving and I returned it.

> 3 dayIm a graphic designer/photographer and use these to back up my files and photos. Ive used Seagate over the years and prefer this because of its compactness and portability. The ability to function without a power source is a plus. My only complaint would be the controller feeding the SATA connectors. My last one failed and there are other complaints out there of dead HDDs. I had to purchase an enclosure to harvest a part for this to work again. Overall very good quality though.

> 3 dayA great amount of storage for a low price. I have put so much of my computer files on this and there is still so much room. It is a great size and easy to use

> 3 dayI dont know about tech support never needed to call them. I have about 10 of this drives and use them a lot. i have only had to replace 2 for crashes after many years [probably more than 10] of use.

> 3 dayI had a back drive from Seagate, I had a problem placing the data on a new hard drive. At no charge Seagate recovered the data and installed it a new hard drive, plus replaced my old back up drive with a new one, all at no charge!

> 3 dayI bought 2 of these and use them to backup Blu-rays and UHDs to while saving to expand the storage of my file server. I have spare cables plugged into my HTPC to watch content directly off of them.

> 3 dayFor basic backup and archiving, this drive is a superb choice. I have 8 of these drives used this way, and they have all been reliable. I cant comment on using it as an everyday work drive and how it would hold up in that higher-use situation. However, for that, you will be better off with an SSD or a faster mechanical HDD. For archiving and backup, this one is a sure winner.
