Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

This cooler is fan freaking tastic!

Siempre escuché la buena reputación de Noctua, pero estoy sorprendido. De entrada, el producto llega super bien empacado, y en la caja encuentras absolutamente todo para instalarlo: instructivos para cada tipo de socket, tornillería, brackets, pasta térmica, llave y desarmador, hules anti-vibración de repuesto, y más. No necesitas NADA más. La instalación se realizó en 15 mins siguiendo el instructivo para mi LGA1151. Una vez encendido el equipo, me sorpendí mas: es real que no hacen absolutamente nada de ruido. Hasta cierto punto creí que algo había conectado mal, porque es sumamente silencioso. Modifiqué la curva del ventilador, y aún así estando al 100% es imperceptible. Finalmente, el funcionamiento fue esperado: 20°C menos que el cooler anterior (tengo un i5-9600k, el cooler que usaba antes era el stock de un i3-9100f).

This included mounting brackets for AM4, and it was fairly easy to mount. I build a PC every 5-6 years, so Ive done it a few times before, but not in a while. Im using with Ryzen 3700x on MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi. It runs quiet except when video encoding, but it never gets loud when at max RPMs, and the CPU temp never goes past 70C when overclocked to 4.0 Ghz and CPU is 100% across all processors. If Ive set Windows power options to AMD Ryzen Balanced, itll normally idle in the low 40C neighborhood.

Easy to follow instructions and works great. Vastly outperforms my stock CPU cooler and keeps my temps in the 50s even when gaming. If only they got rid of the tan and brown fans.

The NH-U12S is amazing at doing its job. I run an i7-8700 and it has always kept it below 50C. I use my computer for games mainly however. You can set up a custom fan curve but I personally prefer to set the RPM myself depending on how instense the task is on the CPU. At a 1000RPM my i7-8700 doesn’t go above 45C. At least for games it has not. Very quiet when it’s running at idle speeds. On the custom fan curve it usually stays around 290-450 RPM on idle and you would really have to try and listen for it. Otherwise you won’t hear it. Had zero issues

Montato su un i7- 4790k.Dissipatore di dimensioni importanti, per cui bisogna avere un case adeguato. Ventola silenziosissima, come da tradizione Noctua. anche sotto carico. La consiglio a tutti quelli che non vogliono raffreddare a liquido.

I replaced my Corsair water cooler with this guy and its so much quieter and the cooling is the same or cooler. It costs more than a lot of coolers but you get what you pay for. Extremely effective and high quality.
