Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

This is a big cooler. It takes up a lot of space in the cabinet - but wow - so much air-cooler surface area! It has plenty of clearance all around with my Gigabyte Z690 UD AX DDR4 motherboar, however there isnt enough room to mount the 2nd fan if you orient the fans front to back - the 2nd fan collides with the memory modules. I think there would be room going top to bottom, but I didnt try that.

I have this on my i5 8600k and it works amazing. This is the only brand I use when not going with liquid cooling. I was really surprised by the performance of this device. 1.35 volt 5.0ghz and stress test maxed at 69 degrees after running for 12 hours!

I thought that a lot of what I’d heard regarding this fan was simply hype, but this truly blew me away. I had purchased a pre-built PC that came with a cheap, inefficient CPU cooler. After being recommended this fan several times by both my friends and internet search results, I decided to give it a shot. WOW - my average CPU temps when idling and under lord have dropped by 20-30 degrees Celsius (68-86 degrees Fahrenheit). Not only that, but the fan is DEAD SILENT, I have never had such a quiet fan before PERIOD, let alone one that performs so efficiently and powerfully. The look and design of the fan can be polarizing for some people, but I personally like the non-RGB fans, and I think the brown and tan looks very clean and classy, with the alternative option to get the fan in black as well.

The HSF itself is really nice, but it ended up blocking the PCIe 1 slot on my mobo (I ended up using the NH-U12S instead). Check their website to make sure it wont block yours before buying.

Super awesome fan. Yes, it is (very) expensive, but when I turn it fully up the CPU does not get hot and ... I can barely hear it.

works great. it has a unique mounting system so be sure to follow the instructions. I cant believe the temps I am seeing on my Ryzen 9 5900x. its also humungous so be sure to make sure you have a big case, and low profile RAM. I have 4 sticks in; just make sure you install the RAM first.

My Kraken X61 280MM was cool and fancy, but it failed after a while and the noise was equivalent to a hoover, this cooler is chunky funky and thats ok, because it does what its suppose to, no stupid tubes or water system to potentially damage your system, the noise on these fans? all I can say is I was constantly checking to see if the fans were actually on, my breathing is louder than these things and I havent even attached the Low noise cable either!

Easy to assemble and quite for the cooling performance it offers
