Kudos to StallionTek. Product came exactly as described. 16 cores, 32 threads, 96 Gb of RAM for under $600? Insane! A few scuff marks on the case, but the inside was clean and everything works as it should. Moved all my storage from my old PC to this BEAST! I swapped out the rather low-end Quadro 600 video card with one more current and it is awesome. With this much horsepower Im running a good number of the threads on the BOINC platform for the World Community Grid contributing spare cycles to medical research. Seriously though, this thing is a steal at this price and can be purposed to do a lot of things. Great platform to start from. As I run BOINC in a VM, be aware that the virtualizing is likely off by default (it was on this one), and I had to rummage a bit in the BIOS to turn it back on. All-in-all a great piece of hardware and gives a wow experience using it. Im running Linux Mint 19.2 on it and it flies. :)

The manual I downloaded did not have the information to turn on Hyper-V but after contacting HP directly it took 30 seconds and works wonderfully..

Stalliontek is on it with these workstations, and I had the good fortune to start shopping for new(ish) servers for our non-profit agency. I was not looking for anything HP, but with these specs and a reasonable return window if things didnt go well, I couldnt think of a reason not to get at least one to test.

This thing is built like a tank. Added a 500Gb SSD, a 4Tb HDD & a free download of Windows 10 Pro. It rocks now.

This refurbished workstation is a lot of hardware for the money. It does not come with with an operating system or harddrive. However, if you are buying this computer, you must know how to deal with that.

While this computer isnt new, it feels powerful to me. Compared to my old computer, it is very quiet. It is using a fraction of its total resources (Memory usage is hovering around 3% compared to mid-80% before, CPU usage is 0%-1% compared to 70-84% before, etc) using this machine as I used the old one. Even though I used an old hard drive for the initial test run, it still seems to run faster than my old system with a newer SSD. My workstation came with an optical drive (it wasnt an advertised feature, but I like it!), a couple of video adapters, and a wifi dongle that are also very helpful. It seems clear to me that the seller is working hard to provide quality workstations.

This is the second pre-loved Z620 Ive received from StallionTek. First machine has been here a month, absolutely flawless, the second one is just as nice. Hope theyve got some left when I get paid again next month ...

For a 44lb workstation, they got it here quite quick. I already have a Z620 I use as a VMware ESXi host for my home lab. The riser card died, which reduced me to 1 processor and 64 GB of RAM. The backplane cabling for hotswap bay 2 was dying and the drive would disappear every 2-4 weeks.

False advertising. PC stated that it had a Nvidia video card, part of the reason I purchased this model. You can see from attached picture that the PC had substandard ATI card instead.
