> 3 dayMoved a few hours down the road and despite careful packaging and movement one of my two monitors broke on the drive. Im the only one who handled them so I know it wasnt mishandled.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor in late 2020 for $150, with many worries going through my head. I was worried that the colors would be too washed out, worried that the curve might be too much, worried about the quality of the product, worried about its acclaimed 1ms mprt, and worried if the monitor would come with any dead pixels. I got none of that. What i did get was a big smile across my face. This monitor was probably one of the best purchases and investments Ive made so far. The quality of the product is perfect for the price range its in, it certainly outdoes my Acer SB220Q. Speaking of which, the Acer monitor comes with an ips panel, i was scared that i wouldnt enjoy the VA panel the AOC would come with, but it turned out to be just fine for gaming, movies, and other media. I do frequently use photoshop so the Acers ips panel will still be utilized for that. As for the curve, the curve is just barely noticeable when youre directly in front of the monitor, which is perfect. As for the acclaimed 1ms, its 1ms mprt, but the actual response time is probably 4ms, which is perfectly fine and you shouldnt really worry about a 4ms response time holding you back at all. And as for the people who have received dead pixels on their AOCs, mine arrived with zero dead pixels as advertised, it most likely has to do with whether or not the monitor was damaged during shipping. So should you buy this monitor? If youre looking for a decent 1080p 144hz experience, and dont care about having the best response time in class (which you shouldnt care about in this price range), and do not require an ips panel, this works perfectly. It also runs flawlessly with GSYNC enabled, just be sure to use the included Display port cable and not the HDMI cable to actually utilize GSYNC and the 144hz.

> 3 daySo other than the questionable appearance of the damaged packaging the product inside appears to be everything Id hoped. I was concerned due to a few reviews referring to dead pixels and the warranty not covering it unless they are in a row... This is sort of a rotten thing when they advertise a 3 year dead pixel warranty. No mention about in a row type thing. In my experience I rarely had more than 1 pixel out at a time and usually if I had more than one they were never near each other and they are distracting when they catch your attention. I thankfully do not seemingly have any pixel issues. 144hz is up and running, actually think Im getting a bit more. The monitor has a section that reports the Hz and if freesync is active. The monitor has great articulation for the price point, and though I wasnt sure Id like the curve, I dont have an issue with it. I would still be fine with flat but I figured why not at this price point. As for the controls and settings in the monitor, there are many. I heard a complaint about it not holding settings in some situations but luckily for me the out of box settings are seemingly good for me. Putting the monitor together was cake, pretty much tooless assembly, unless you want to snug up the base a bit. CABLES, it comes with both a HDMI and DisplayPort Cable along with the power cable. The fact cables are included was nice I think the DP and HDMI cables are around 4-6ft long probably on the longer side. The power cable is a typical PSU style power cable and about the same length. Still not a complaint just an observation. All in all you will be hard press to get this much value at this price range. AOC has come a long way from the last time I had one in my possession. Will update this review in the future if needed, but if things work out this will stand as is.
