Pulled it right out of the box and centered it on my triple monitor stand. Though, after taking a good look at the stand, I can say it was definitely built well. The panel design is absolutely beautiful. At first, I was unsure if I liked the curve, but after a while, it grew on me. Really gives you a feel of quality, if you arent used to it. Kinda like a new car. Setup was a breeze. Freesync came enabled, but the refresh rate will be locked at 60hz until you change it in the advanced display settings in windows. The colors really werent that great out of the box. Fortunately, the user interface on the monitor is very straight forward. After a bit of adjustment, I got the picture I was looking for. I have a 1080p 60hz display that sits next to it. After all the adjustment, it came quite close to the quality, which is pretty good for the panel type. After a bit of playing around and making sure the settings were all functional, I started up a few games. After a short time playing, I quickly noticed it. I was afraid it might happen from all the reviews, but hoped for the best... But to no avail. A dark and very noticeable dead pixel, very close to the center of the screen. Well, it did take a while to notice it. But after seeing it one time, you always see it. And after a while, I started noticing more of them. Right now, I can point out 3 dead pixels. Im willing to bet there is a fourth somewhere, as I havent been looking for very long. So, overall thoughts. I really love the high refresh rate. Im a semi competitive Destiny 2 player, and can definitely make use of the faster response time and added smoothness. Freesync is a huge plus. I have always noticed screen tear and inconsistent frame delivery. This was definitely an upgrade I needed to make. And the price point? I paid $140 for this monitor. Honestly, for the feature set, thats a total steal. The only thing that really urks me is the dead pixel in the center screen... If it were only towards the outside, or maybe a different shade so that it wasnt totally obvious, I would have given this one 5 stars. I will keep it for now. Im even considering ordering two more of them, and putting one without such an obvious dead pixel in the center. For now, I say its worth the purchase.

For this price this monitor does very well. I also have a more expensive LG and this one looks better.

This product when I recieved it, said it was 165hz... After adjusting the properties on the pc, the highest setting was only 144hz... There also wasnt any instructions on how to adjust the hz itself on the moniters settings as well. But it is a good monitor and affordable... it isnt 165hz like it says it is.

As the title itself states, this is a well crafted monitor from AOC. Which to be honest I am quite surprised, since most AOC monitors are budget based, meaning cheaper in quality, but better in price. This monitor, on the other hand, excels on almost all levels for a VA display. It probably helps that the panel they are using is from Samsung themselves. Regardless it functions as well as it should in terms of sharpness control, contrast ratio, color reproduction, gamma levels, response times, input latency and so much more. Of course always make sure to test each monitor you obtain using the website lagom.nl/lcd-test, for itll help you in adjusting the picture quality just right. Also consider using blur busters ghosting ufo testing tool kit, for this will help you in adjusting the overdrive settings within your monitor. In the case of this particular one, medium overdrive should work just fine for any refresh rate/freesync variable. Fortunately for this particular monitor, most of the default settings work just fine and dont require extensive amounts of tweaking in order to get it to optimal levels. Overall, I strongly recommend this monitor, especially for anyone who has been using IPS panels for almost all there life. For the contrast ratio of a VA is especially big in comparison to a regular IPS panel With most IPS panels youll be getting blacks that are closer to grayish-black than actual black like in depth, contrarily, with VA panels, youll be getting inky blacks. Let it also be noted that freesync works wonderfully with this monitor and with an nvidia graphics card as well. In addition there are no issues with sharpness clarity as some reviewers have mentioned before and the viewing angles are top notch; They are not as great as IPS panels, but they most certainly excel against TN panels without a doubt.

Playing any first person shooter with this monitor at 240Hz was a great improvement over my 60Hz monitor. The 60Hz monitor would give me motion sickness after maybe 30 minutes or so. Not to mention my aim was terrible since everything looked very blurry. With the new monitor I cant say i felt any motion sickness since there was no blur, and everything looked so much more clear when moving around and trying to aim. Much much better gaming performance than I expected for the price at 1080p. Eventually I will go for a similar monitor at 4k.

I use a triple monitor setup for my PC gaming, so I bought three of these. I purchased the G2 model with only Full HD (1080p), but I got the 240Hz models that are curved. I have to say that these are very impressive for the price. The curve really works great when you line three of these monitors up, bezel to bezel. The curve is almost perfectly continuous across all three monitors, creating a great immersive gaming experience. They have adaptive sync and can refresh up to 240 times per second, so they are basically made for gaming. I only have a 10xx series Nvidia GPU, but it does support adaptive sync and the current Nvidia drivers allow these monitors to quickly be enabled for adaptive sync usage. I had to adjust the refresh rate in the Nvidia Control Panel in order to remove the refresh limits, but after doing so my games are running buttery smooth with no ghosting or blur. I LOVE IT!!! Unlike some of the other reviewers, I see no dead pixels on any of the three units I purchased. They came packaged well and were completely undamaged upon arrival. They came with a DP and an HDMI cable too, so thats nice. The only negative thing I have to say is that there is some backlight bleed through that is apparent when the screens are dark and the room is also dark. But as soon as something is displayed on the screens the bleed through around the edges is not noticeable. For $300 each, I really cant complain. Id buy these again, and again, and again. And the adaptive sync works great with Nvidia GPUs even though these monitors are not officially approved by Nvidia. I think they soon will be though.

I have zero complaints at all. Amazing monitor, fast, great colors. Highly recommend! *If anyone is concerned about the curvature, know its very very minor. I like it that way though -- it fits your field of view much better than flat.

(I didnt see a lot of reviews for the AOC 24 Curved Gaming Monitor Model: C24G1A, so I wanted to share) (In my photo, the AOC is the monitor in the middle) I game on my PC and have been using a nice budget HP 24 monitor (240vha) which was the #1 bestseller on Amazon for quite some time. I dont have a ton of money but wanted to upgrade to a monitor with a faster refresh rate and see if it really made a difference. The game Ive mainly played is NBA 2k21 (and a little bit of GTA V). Ive owned and used this monitor for 1 day now and I will try to remember to come back in the future and update. Despite not the best at displaying the full color spectrum, they are very vibrant and you can dial up a ton of contrast and brightness. I have the brightness turned all the way down and its still almost a bit too bright for my eyes but may Ill adjust over time. It is indeed a 165mhz monitor. It stands up to those refresh rates and I havent had any issues with ghosting, motion blur, dead pixels, or power issues. For most day-to-day gamers, this is a great monitor if you cant afford a bigger brand (but in some cases you are just paying the extra dollars for the name when the products are virtually the same). If you are an e-sports professional or getting paid to game for a living, this might not be the best monitor for you. This is the only monitor Ive owned with 165mhz or 144mhz rates so I dont have anything to compare it to however for my first gaming monitor, its a heckuva good buy for the price. I must have caught it on sale because the price has gone up $23 in 4-5 days...i only paid $144 (and yes, its new, not refurbed). For a sub $150 price tag, youll be hard pressed to find a better deal on a 24 curved monitor that supports 165Mhz. Youll definitely want to go into the monitors settings and play around. We all have different tastes and likes and there are a lot of color modes and options to dial in a satisfying picture for all users. I work and game on this monitor/PC so it will be getting extensive use (8-15 hrs a day) and I will try to remember to come back and update my rating in due time. *update* After 2 months of usage, the monitor has an issue. I have a pixel that gets stuck on red when it is trying to reproduce darker colors. It works fine when its white or black but any other darker color and the pixel get stuck on red. ive added a picture of the pixel for reference. Ive had monitors with dead pixels before but never an issue like this....very odd. Ive contacted AOCs customer support for an RMA but am skeptical that it will be considered a covered defect. I am outside of my 30 day return window so Amazon is unable to replace it for me. A refund was offered by Amazon minus a restocking fee but that wouldnt come near close enough to cover the cost of a replacement. I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 and will update my review again after I hear back from AOC.
