SINGER 00258 Extra Long Vinyl Tape Measure, 96-Inch

This is the full 96 inches. 96 inches of vinyl tape measuring vinyl. Yes, I used the word vinyl twice. I think that is an important point. I cant remember why I bought this, but I did and now I own it. OK, clearly it is an effective product for measuring stuff but what in Gods good name did I buy a Singer 96-Inch Extra Long Vinyl Tape Measure for? For the life of me, I simply cant remember. I know you might not care, but I care. Not like I can just throw money away on things I dont need. I bought a car once and I cant even drive.

I am not a tailor and I am just tired of using a string to measure what I need and remeasure it with a metal tape measure, so I broke down and get a real one. I guess you could spend may a buck or two to get a cheaper tape measure, but for less than $5 you could get a great tape measure of high quality that would last a long time. This tape has metal caps on both ends so no worries if it will go bad. Bright yellow and clear black markings for both inches and centimeters, extremely flexible so it is a great tool to have. This is the tape measure that you would see wrap around some professional tailors.

Its good to have an extra-long tape measure around the house. This one is sturdy, easy to read, and just what I was looking for.

The first time I had a tape measure was in Junior High School home economics class :) But, I wanted one to keep tabs on my waist and hips. Theres just no way of really knowing your exact dimensions without using a cloth/vinyl tape measure. And its important, especially your waist size which I guess the specialist feel is a sign of having health issues if your mid section is over a certain measurement. Im glad I purchased it, and Im sure Ill get other uses out of it too.

I wanted a longer sewing tape measure for measuring fabric. A 60 tape would have been adequate and measured everything this tape will measure. Anything above the first 60 would need to be added. No need to add when measuring up to 96 with this tape. It takes a few seconds longer to coil this one up. Not a big issue. The tape had a powder residue on it. Probably to keep it from sticking together. At about $3, a decent price. It should last years. Even if the metal ends come off, it will still measure well enough for my needs.

I use this for a lot of measurements of odd shapes that metal rulers and tapes just cant handle. Be sure to buy one longer than you ever think youll need!

So glad I bought this tape, the one I had was so tiny i could barely read the numbers.

It is very long, and it does the job. Only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because it doesnt have a wind-up system or any way to store it so that it doesnt get too tangled. I just use a plastic band.

Good quality and seems like it would hold up for years to come! The silver tip looks like its very hard to break off so I dont know how it broke so fast on other peoples. They probably got a defect or probably treat it like crap. Take care of it meaning dont slam the metal piece on the ground and you should be fine! I would buy it again if I had too haha.
