Well, its a tape measure, has markings on it (inches and centimeters) and it is flexible. No surprises there. I unrolled mine and rolled it back up in reverse so the loose end would start at zero instead of 96, but I guess they had to package it that way to show the length. Long enough so if a really fat guy wants to know his pants size, you can help him out. More versatile than a yardstick except you cant balance it on your finger. A good gift for people who just have to know how big everything is.

Exactly what I needed to take measurements when I buy clothes online. Great price also.

The product came on time and is just as shown. No complaints.

One of the other reviews stated that the band in the picture is a metal clip to keep the tape neatly folded. It is not a clip. It is a shiny piece of heavy paper. It looks nice, but it is meant to be discarded. The tape doesnt seem like cloth but it is as flexible as you would expect a cloth tape to be. It isnt stiff like cheaper tapes. It has inches printed on one side, centimeters printed on the other. The fact that it measures up to 96 inches rather than 60 is great considering much of the obese population of the US is pushing a 60 inch waistline now. My own is 64 inches, so the old standard of 60 just doesnt work anymore. I am losing weight and lately have been interested in tracking my progress. Before long I should be able to use a 60 inch tape, but it is nice to have one that will let me start where I am now, not where I would like to be in the future. When I am smaller, the great news is this tape will still work! Having centimeters is a benefit, since many things are more accurately sized in centimeters.

For the price I was shocked! Seems like it will be around for some time!

I like the fact that it is not flimsy. It is quality material and should last a very long time.

Its good to have an extra-long tape measure around the house. This one is sturdy, easy to read, and just what I was looking for.

Theres not much to say about a tape measure but I like this one. I needed the extra inches and this fit the bill. Ill buy more when I loose this one.

It is a nice tape measure made of finer glass reinforced fabric (rather than vinyl) so there is a little risk of it stretching. However as others have noted the metal piece at the one inch end of the tape shortens the tape so that about 3/32 have to be added to every measurement. The SINGER brand used to be a guarantee of quality. It is a shame that is no longer the case.

A simple product that works well. I needed a flexible measuring tape for quick measurements around the house and for body measurements for certain custom designed African clothes. The $2 bucks is well worth it. The ends are terminated with metal so it wont fray apart. Having 96 inches is another plus (some are shorter lengths) and Im totally satisfied. EDIT [02-12-2019]: Okay, so Im back here to add additional commentary to my review a little bit because someone mentioned the FIRST INCH being short (where the metal terminates the tape). I re-checked my measuring tape and the FIRST INCH is OFF (or SHORT) by 1/16 of a inch. Then I went to the LAST INCH inch (where the metal terminates on the other end of the tape by the 96 inch mark) and it is OFF (or OVER) by 1/16 of a inch. So, while, I believe the whole tape should be accurate to scale, its NOT a deal breaker at all for me with such a very small incremental error. Just be aware of the FIRST INCH and the LAST INCH.
