The eye shield that I used for about 2 years was light weight, soft and seemed more flexible. This newer one is heavier, less malleable, but does keep my eyes closed when sleeping. The straps are velcro close and my hair gets tangled in it; however, I do appreciate how easy it is to adjust and fit to my head especially with other types of closures. My eye Dr recommended that I use the shield for my severe dry eyes in conjunction with eye drops. Works great together. She now sees no damage to my eyes. Great product for keeping my eyes closed as I sleep.

This only holds the heat for about 10 min max. For longer more effective times, say the 20 minutes I needed, using a sock worked way better.

I lubricant to help it, loosen up and lubricate my eyes, and if you’ve never use the product before, make sure you get some instructions from your eye doctor, or read the instructions that come with it, and be careful not to overheat, the mask

This is a very effective product. However, make sure you loosen the adjustable velcro strap before you put it on. The eye pads are thick, and if the strap holding it on is too tight, when you take the item off your face, you will have blurry eyesight for a few minutes because the pads press into your cornea. Just take a second and dont fasten it too tight and you will be very satisfied with this product.

Makes it easy to follow my doctors orders for using this at least 10 minutes a day.

I bought it as a gift so I was not able to tried it. But you get what you expect. Good quality product.
