My doctor recommended a product such as this for my severe dry eye symptoms. After comparing products and ratings, this seemed the best choice - and it was! Easy to use - put in microwave for 10-15 seconds - and it lays comfortably over my eyes. The pads are soft and comfortable. The adjustable headband keeps it perfectly in place. Makes it easy to follow my doctors orders for using this at least 10 minutes a day.

My new ophthalmologist wants me, a long time dry eye sufferer, to use nightly warm washcloth eye compresses to avoid going back to the Restasis-and-steroid dog n pony show Ive been on for the last 20 years for a variety of reasons. Washcloths soaked in warm water cool off in under five minutes and are also annoying to use in between my nightly facial unguents, so I thought Id give the Bruder eye mask a whirl. It had certainly popped up in my suggested items enough times over the years while perusing expensive nonprescription eye drops. Ive now used the mask only four times and am disappointed to say that it is no longer retaining its moisture. Each time, Ive followed the manufacturers heating instructions, heating it between 20-30 seconds on high, which is just enough to keep it comfortably warm for over 10 minutes. The first time I used it, the amount of moisture it exuded was quite noticeable, and the oil glands of my eyelids (thats meibomian glands for all the anatomy geeks out there) were clearly unclogged. My eyes felt much, much better. The three subsequent times I used the mask, however, it gave off less moisture, and this fourth time, there was no discernible moisture whatsoever. While the heat feels nice, with severe dry eye syndrome and clogged glands, theres no point in using a dry heat mask. What a waste of money, considering the mask is supposed to last at least six months with once per day use. Additionally, the design of the mask isnt great for my petite face. My face overall and facial features are on the small side, and I have difficulty buying glasses and even sleep masks. The elastic between the eyes of the mask is actually too wide for me, causing the eyepieces to slip around uncomfortably during use. I found myself having to adjust them periodically to recenter them properly over my eyes and couldnt really relax while using them. If this mask actually worked, I would have had to hike the elastic at least a quarter inch or so with a safety pin to stop the slippage. Finally, I was offended by the sheer, greedy marketing of additional useless products that was included with the mask. It came with sample shields to prevent the mask from being bespoiled bymakeup/creams/etc. on eyelids during use. Why didnt the company just make the interior of the mask a dark color instead of white so it wouldnt show stains, thereby eliminating the need for such frequent cleaning? I just placed a thin cotton handkerchief over my eyes under the mask instead for free. There was also an eyelid scrub sample. Eyelid scrubbing is a fairly simple at-home procedure that doesnt require purchasing expensive products. Since Im still in the market for a true moist eye compress, Ill be shopping for a flaxseed or rice eye compress next. Ive successfully used moist heat therapy for an injury using heat packs filled with these ingredients, and theyve lasted at least a year without going all arid as Death Valley.

My eye doctor recommended this product, to help with plugged or drying up. I lubricant to help it, loosen up and lubricate my eyes, and if you’ve never use the product before, make sure you get some instructions from your eye doctor, or read the instructions that come with it, and be careful not to overheat, the mask

I suffer from Sjogrens and this is perfect. It helps soooo much! It created more tear production for me... and eases the pain! I cant tell you how surprised I was... but it really works. I love it and use it daily. I am so grateful my daughter got it for me! I love IT!!!!

Good I guess? I have very dry eyes. The optometrist unofficially said I have Rosacea. They recommended I get one of these to use to open up the pores in my eyelids. Not sure how long I would have to do it for but I have been doing three times a day. It works as advertised.

Product is being used to combat dry eye syndrome. It is heated for 20 seconds and then placed over eyes for 10 minutes. Product is well made, with elastic band to hold into place. It soothes the eyes and feels wonderful. It is 10 minutes of bliss.

My optometrist recommended I use a warm moist eye compress, so I bought this one. It works great! The instructions dont specify the microwave setting, but I found that at 1100 watts for 20 seconds is just right. It doesnt burn my eyes or scorch in the microwave. Since I have a 1300 watt microwave, I reduce the power level from 10 to 8, and it works just fine. The compress does cool slightly in the minute it takes me to transport it to my bedroom and lie down, so please keep that in mind. I would recommend this.

This was a gift and the recipient has raved about how easy it is to use, as well as how its helped her eye irritation and sinus pressure (an unexpected, added bonus!). I ordered 3 more for other family members.
