I have many Artzea rulers, thats why I purchased this one. It is great for rotary cutter, however when it comes to measuring fabric, its a pain since numbers on both sides of the ruler run the same direction, therefore Im constantly flipping the ruler, which really slows things down.

The ruler is awesome, one for me and one as a gift. They were shrink wrapped individually. I make quilts and have a ruler hoarding problem. Now that I’ve confessed, I’ll tell you about the ruler. I needed something easy to read, accurate, sturdy, stays put, able to use easily and user friendly for small projects. This is great! Reason I gave it 4 stars is the seller just threw them in a mail bag, which is nowhere near a bright idea. One came with the corner chipped. It’s still usable, so I kept that one. But I take care of my stuff and the seller should have the same approach.

To put this review into perspective I am completely new to quilting. These rulers do the job. I gave them 4 stars because I did chip them several times while using my rotary cutter. I also round that the rotary cutter would cut into the side fairly easily. This may be human error on my part but because of this I did often miss cut my fabrics when I would hit a nick in the side and my cutter would “backfire” and cause me to cut into my piece.

This ruler is just about perfect. Im using it to turn my (and my sons) old t-shirts into quilt squares. Its the perfect size. Ive been putting this project off for well, frankly, years. But I cut dozens of squares in a jiffy with the help of this ruler. The only thing that I found a little challenging about using it was when I was trying to center things. Because theres a half inch around for the seam allowance, I had to remember that one inch in from one side was the 11.5 inch mark. But theres a handy guide around the edge to show where 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch are so I could make sure to keep the picture inside the frame.

Im not a quilter but this ruler is so useful to me as a painter, helping me get accurate border lines on my drawings before I begin to paint. My old one broke after 30+ years so I needed a new one.

Was the exact size I needed to cut quilt squares for my t-shirt quilts.

This is a SUPER useful tool to use. I craft leather bags and other products, and this tool works great! I also make my own bias tape from fabric, and this tool is invaluable for marking bias lines. Its clear, so you can see through it; it has open cutting lines, so its super easy to mark cutting lines; and the feature I appreciate the most is the measurements, marked in 1/8 increments all the way down the length of the ruler. This makes it so much easier to lay out, mark, and cut.
