After watching a bunch of Youtube videos I started learning a lot of people were using rope and Kongs or this Ropeman 1 with their climbing linesmans rope. I went to REI and checked these out in person and determined the Ropeman 1 was going to be easier to use for my style of climbing. This setup with good climbing rope works really well to hang climbing sticks, its fast to adjust but also equally gives a solid lock up on the rope...lean into the tree and pull the rope to stay in close to the tree or pull the wire loop and let some slack out to provide more room while ascending the tree.

I use this like most hunters do, as a linemans belt. Im a new treestand hunter and this really makes it super simple. I hated the traditional linemans belt! But this little thing is amazing!

Had one of these that I use for my linemans belt when climbing sticks and loved it! Quick and easy one hand adjustments. So I bought another one for my summit safety rope that I connect my bridge to for my tree saddle. Works great! I recommend this ropeman 1 ascender!

I bought two of these. One for my tether and my linemans rope. Makes the job a lot easier than a prusik knot.

Solid little ascender that works. I found that using my big Black Diamond Carabiners worked best for me with these. I had no problems using them and climbed without reservation on them. Good buy and seemingly well made.
