> 3 dayI decided to use a ssd or nvme for my system drive and finally chose a nvme. Installation is very easy but as there is hardly any clear instruction, you would always be scared to break things.

Greater than one weekSince July 2021 WD started to use a different DRAM type on SN550, as officially acknowledged by WD itself. This DRAM causes the entire SSD work slower and less reliably. Some outlets claim up to -50% in performance. Essentially a Blue line of SSDs (SN550) performs now as their cheaper and less expensive Green line of SSDs. I can confirm that my unit with production date July 2021 doesnt reach speeds advertised by WD (see picture). If you can get this SSD at a bargain price (like I did, at least -15% from current price), then go for it, otherwise better to invest a little more and buy better performance from other brands.

> 3 dayThe company has changed the nand memory to QLC which is slower than TLC. At the time release they use TLC nand memory which was faster. When you see the reviews before September are for old generation with TLC memory. Go with the new generation it has TLC nand memory.Dont buy the old generation.
