WD 4TB Gaming Drive works with Playstation 4 Portable External Hard Drive - WDBM1M0040BBK-WESN

The first one that I got had something wrong with it but they replaced it before even sending it back and the second one worked perfectly

This drive more than doubled my 1TB storage on the PS4. It was easy to setup with the system menus, and even though I could not figure out how to move all existing content automatically, I was able to get new content on this instead. (So it is a combination of the internal 1TB, and the 2TB on this portable one).

My boyfriend downloads a lot of the free games that come with having the PS Plus membership. He had to stop downloading for a while until I bought his this! Now he doesnt have to worry about having space ever again Im so happy.

Perfect! I use it with my Xbox. No issues so far. Does what its supposed to do.

Passport X was just released a couple weeks ago, and Amazon has been offering it for $99, which is $40 under MSRP. At $99, this is an ok buy, but its much less so at $139. This is the first drive Ive connected to the XB1, so I cant tell you if its faster than other cheaper non-gamer models that have been on the market for a while, but it seems ok, not mind blowing. This drive doesnt come pre-loaded with backup software that other externals do, but since the drive is reformatted by the XB1 when you first plug it in I dont really think that it even matters whether theres existing software on the drive or not. The plug and play capability is nice, but again, Im pretty sure that is not a feature unique to this drive. Since Western Digital doesnt mention exactly why this drive is beneficial to gamers, I have to suspect if this isnt just a normal external from another line with a case that matches the XB1 and a daring X slapped on it offered at an inflated list price.

Got one of these for Christmas and its amazing. All you have to do is plug in and the PlayStation takes care of the rest. I have it right next to my PS4 and its not even noticable. Ive also noticed since having it my games install allot faster. Definitely recommend for sure

I use it with xbox one s. Set up was flawless. Make sure you reboot your xbox after you plug it in.

this genuinely doesn’t work, every time i put my ps in rest mode it just stops working and crashes my entire playstation and playstation just doesn’t turn on, i unplugged the extended storage and my ps ran with absolutely no issues

Plug and play out of the box. So far so good.
