Easy to set up, and I like the frameless bezel and ergonomic design. Image quality out of the box is as expected for a QHD monitor. However, at a price of $350 I expected the sound quality from the internal speakers to be much better--its very poor. Even with monitor, computer, and online streaming app volumes set to 100% the sound is so low its difficult to hear. Frankly, I miss my 10-year-old ASUS monitor. I contacted technical support and checked all the settings they suggested without hearing any improvement. Their response was, If we were to proceed with a warranty claim we cannot guarantee that this would be a resolution to this issue. If you buy this monitor, be prepared to spend additional money for external speakers. I would not recommend this model monitor unless they improve the quality of the internal speakers.

I really like this monitor. It’s a well-designed monitor with a bright, crisp display that’s going to be really tough to beat without spending significantly more money. And, even if you do decide to spend significantly more money for a better monitor, the difference in picture quality isn’t going to be a jaw dropping. Now, with all that said, once you get this monitor up and running, you will definitely need to make many adjustments to it to get it dialed in exactly the way you like it. So, plan on spending about an hour or so changing settings, making adjustments and fine tuning the picture. And, once you do that, I can’t imagine anyone being anything but happy with this monitor. If I had to complain about something, it would be about the speakers. They’re strictly utilitarian. They provide basic sound. If you want anything better than that, you’ll need to get a pair of external speakers. Which I already had, and pretty much knew I would need since the onboard speakers are, of course, extremely small. Other than the minor speaker thing, I really couldn’t be more happy with this monitor. I think it’s a very solid choice if you’re looking for a 24” budget-friendly monitor. Other reviews talk about the picture and the lack of a USB-C cable. They have heard and now include a 10Gb/s 1m long cable which works fine. The built-in speaker sound quality is not as good a the build-in late model MacBook Pro laptop, but is ok. The USB-C cable allows for the monitor to be almost be a docking station. After a month of our family using 2 of these monitors, Ive raised it to 5-stars.

Be aware the monitor does not support the advertised refresh rate of 75 hertz.

I purchased this as a second monitor and after a couple months I have had zero issues. Build quality is great, as well as the viewing angles for vertical usage. The trend with many companies is to produce these big monitors with small resolutions. This creates a visually disturbing pixel density that I personally find unpleasant (FHD@32=68.84 PPI vs WQHD@24=122.38 PPI). Its nice to see companies still producing normally-sized monitors with larger resolutions. The stability and mobility is great. Large swivel radius, tilt, and height adjustment for finding that sweet-spot. The handle for movement is a very nice addition. The only thing to be wary of is the fact that this monitor DOES NOT support refresh rates over 60hz at 2k resolution. But for some reason the product description has an eye-catching final bullet point of 75 hertz. (I wanted to take a star off for that shady advertising, but it really is a great monitor)

Simpy amazing! This monitor with USB-C turned THREE cables into one!! Its complete eliminated the cable clutter on my desktop. Before I had hooked up to my Dell XPS 13 9380 the following: one USB-C cable for display, one USB-C converted to USB-A through an adapter for my peripherals, and another USB-C cable for charging. Now a SINGLE USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor does all three things! One single USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor provides power, drives the monitor, and the built-in USB hub in the monitor all works! Simultaneously!! WASTE of money, mine is already being returned. The internal stereo speakers are utterly laughable, theyre small and shrill and pathetic. Sounds like a 90s nokia phone in a tin cup. Of course, the sound over USB Type-C cant be controlled from your device and there are NO VOLUME BUTTONS, you have to dive into the menu?!? Another lacking feature? Theres no Portrait mode switch when you rotate (like most decent monitors); you have to handle that from your device if it supports that. Really pathetic for a 2019/2020 gaming monitor, this is some budget parts-bin trash with a couple good ports soldered on. Sure, USB Type-C input gives a good clear image, BUT so do a hundred better monitors for the money. Viewsonic just lost (another) customer for good, by putting out this cut-corners garbage. DO NOT waste your money, buy something else.

Just set mine up and it works great. Easy to put together, picture immediately looks excellent once plugged in. Also, I read in some reviews that those with Apple products would need to order a separate USB-C to USB-C cable for proper connection and charging. This appears to no longer be the case – that cable was INCLUDED in the box from ViewSonic (along with the power cord, an HDMI cable, and a USB A-to-B cable). Plugged it in and the monitor immediately began charging my Macbook Air 13 while my dual screens synced perfectly. Hope this saves some folks the $20 I spent on a cable from Apple!

This ViewSonic VG2455 24 Inch IPS 1080p Monitor provides gorgeous color and even better, it can swivel to portrait mode. This is a 24 model, which is a modest size by todays standards but its perfect for a small workspace or as a second monitor. It has a solid list of features including an IPS display, integrated speakers, swivel and tilt functions as well as easy height adjustment, an ultra thin bezel on three sides, USB-C, HDMI, display port and VGA connection ports, and five preset view modes. I have had a number of Viewsonic monitors over the years and have always favored them because of the brilliant color and this one is no exception. I am using this with a Windows system so have had no issues with the sound. The speakers are quite decent. Not as good as an expensive, secondary speaker but solidly good and they dont take up precious desktop space as an added sound system would. What I really love is the ability to swivel the display to portrait mode. In portrait mode, you can tuck this monitor into a very small space and its superb for text based work/layout or reading. I also love the 40 degree tilt because I use a standing desk and its a simple matter to just tilt it to the best angle for me when I am standing. The response time is a bit slow for some gaming but it isnt sold as a gaming monitor. You can certainly find a less expensive, 24 monitor but the features and gorgeous display make it worth the extra money, IMO. I have a Viewsonic display that is over 10 years old and still working perfectly so I am hoping this one will be just as durable.

Good entry level monitor for business. I like that I can adjust the height and tilt in so many ways. Picture quality pretty good. Only thing I dont like is the menu tree is not very intuitive. Overall a good choice.
