Simpy amazing! This monitor with USB-C turned THREE cables into one!! Its complete eliminated the cable clutter on my desktop. Before I had hooked up to my Dell XPS 13 9380 the following: one USB-C cable for display, one USB-C converted to USB-A through an adapter for my peripherals, and another USB-C cable for charging. Now a SINGLE USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor does all three things! One single USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor provides power, drives the monitor, and the built-in USB hub in the monitor all works! Simultaneously!! I’m a software engineer by trade, and these monitors are absolutely incredible. 1440p resolution and the option to turn them portrait mode are must-haves for me now. I have two with a DisplayLink dock in a work-from-home setup and it’s better than any hardware we had in the office.

Despite the ubiquity of USB-C ports on laptops in recent years—including all Apple laptops—USB-C support remains a rare feature. Seriously, I searched for hours to find one thats 1) in stock and 2) not ridiculously overpriced. So I felt incredibly lucky to find this reasonably-priced 24 display with full USB-C support and an excellent 1440p resolution! The refurbished unit I received looks and works as good as new, and the included USB-C cable works perfectly with my MacBook, charging it while receiving its video signal and connecting the monitors USB hub. Monitor is good, but it is not very supportive of Apple computers. The USB-C cable the monitor came with worked for my windows laptop, but it did not for my macbook pro. I had to spend another $15 for a usb-c cable that looks pretty identical to the one that came in the box. Im not sure the why the cable the monitor came with didnt work, but I wished Viewsonic would fix this because a lot of other reviewers had this problem too. Unfortunately, the monitor software it comes with is only available for Windows too. I was really excited about the possibility of using just 1 cord to charge my mac and hook it up to a monitor, but the power the monitor delivers wasnt enough to keep my battery charged. My laptop needs 61W according to Apple, and this monitor provides 60W. I was hoping the 1W wouldnt make a difference, but it does. Viewsonic should up the wattage this monitor provides since 60W is not a lot for a laptop. EDIT: I changed my review to 5 stars because for some reason, the charging is now working and keeping my laptop at 100%.

Pros: Text is excellent when having to view it all day Adjustments are great Color seems good USB ports on left side are nice extras for charging devices (I havent connected either of these monitors to USB for data) Cons: Really none except the buttons on the front are seemingly unlabeled as viewed from about 2 feet away so you have to memorize which is which in order to change settings such as input (I have 2 computers connected to each) Very happy with the purchases though.

I purchased this monitor after a similarly-configured Lenovo monitor bricked on me only a couple months out of warranty. This ViewSonic isnt quite the looker as the Lenovo, but its ergonomically superior in some respects, and I think the screen is brighter and has better viewing angles. I also like the arrangement of the USB ports for extra peripherals just behind the screen on the users left hand side as theyre easier to access. My one complaint is about the user interface. On the front of the monitor on the lower bezel is the power button, a button that allows you to switch viewing modes, and four other menu buttons. Those four other menu buttons pull up a unified menu but serve other functions once the menu is activated (one for up, one for down, one to select, and one to exit). That all makes sense, of course, but, for the way I work, a one-button option for switching inputs would be far, far more useful than a one-button solution to switch viewing modes. Im a grown man with no time for games - this monitor is for my work. But I have two computers - my work and my personal. Ive literally never, in over a year, needed to change color/brightness settings via the viewing mode button. But I do switch inputs multiple times a day, so, having just one button to press to quickly switch inputs would make far more sense.

Generally is good performance for price. I purchased this item for true 8bit color depth and other graphical parameters. But Firmware updating cannot support for VG2455-2K Model is is bad. Pros Good picture quality Color depth 8bit USB TYPE-C fast charging support New technologies supported Const Firmware updates cannot support for this model VG-24552K 2x2 watt speakers Sound quality is not perfect but so-so Item weight is so high for its dimensions.

I needed a USB Type C monitor and this was the best one I could find in my price range. It has everything that I need and has worked great ever since I bought it.

Update: both monitors I purchased have started making quiet whistling noises, sounds similar to the noise made by an old hard drive when its seeking lots of data. This monitor has a super annoying feature where it changes the backlight brightness based on how much white is onscreen. This makes it impossible to set your brightness to a comfortable level. If you use dark mode apps like I do, you adjust your brightness so theyre readable. BUT, then if you open a light mode window, all of a sudden the monitor ramps up the brightness and its blindingly bright. Very stupid feature, very frustrating, defeats the whole point of setting the brightness. After a lot of digging through menus, I finally found a way to turn off the auto brightness. Its under Setup Menu -> ECO Mode. On a different topic, my macbook pro refuses to remember that this monitor is rotated, but that could be apples fault. Also, this monitor has a game mode which presumably runs faster, but it makes all the colors look washed out and ugly.
