At first I was impressed with the monitor when the original seal was broken. I didn’t mind, later when I was mastering on my Cubase noticed sharp micro holes. The seller may be trustworthy but the item THAT I RECEIVED is definitely an used item returned by someone.

Bought this for my brother-in-law as anniversary gift. Absolutely loved it. Easy to install, great picture quality.

I dont think the colors and contrast are as nice as the older monitor this replaced. For an affordable, feature rich monitor of this format I find it very acceptable. Maybe not the best choice for photo editing. Easy to set up and figure out. The sound from the speakers is weak. Matte screen finish. The stand is one of its standout features. It has a pivoting turntable in the base and the vertical adjustment is smooth, requiring little effort. The screen also turns to a vertical orientation in either direction.

No complaints. I did the research and found the features I wanted for a dual monitor setup. Good price.

24” Computer Monitor Model: VG2448 Amazon price as of this writing: $196.44 If you have ever considered a new or second monitor for your computer, this ViewSonic is a good choice for consideration. The image quality of its 24” screen is superb with a crisp resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The monitor permits wide viewing angles from all sides up to 178 degrees making it perfect for group presentations and work environments. The monitor is remarkably easy to set up. There are just three pieces. The stand firmly attaches to its base with a single thumbscrew. The monitor screen has a quick-release button that attaches it to the stand. There are also custom mounting options. The stand has a handle on top so the monitor is portable and easy to relocate when necessary. The flexibility of the mount permits tilting up to 40 degrees, pivoting, and rotation. Vertical up and down adjustments are counterbalanced so changing heights can be done with a fingertip. At the bottom-right corner of the bezel, there is a power switch and a series of buttons that control the onscreen display. Some of the many controls are: Auto and Manual Image Adjustment, Contrast/Brightness, Input Selection, Audio Adjustment, Color Adjustment, General Information, and a Setup Menu. On the back of the monitor there are inputs for DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-3, and VGA permitting connection to a variety of devices. The monitor includes two internal speakers and typically consumes about 25W of power. It will accept 100~240V. ViewSonic is a brand with a good, long-standing reputation. For a monitor of this size and quality, the price is reasonable. Excellent image quality and the many connectivity options make this monitor a good, solid choice.

Pros: heavy duty mount with easy swivel, tilt and elevation abilities. Nice. Cons: Price, somewhat washed out colors and even though others said the speakers werent much I would have to disagree. You can barely hear anything at all with everything turned to max, both at your computer software and also at the monitor itself. I would say if you are thinking the speakers would be good enough to listen to phone messages etc. they are not. Not sure why they even put them in if you cant at least do that.

Had the same one for several years, bought this one to compliment and extend viewing area. You can turn, tilt, and adjust the height infinitely. Crisp & clear picture, suburb monitor at this price point. Get it you wont be disappointed!

This is a very nice monitor with crisp high quality definition. The size is nice and I love the ability to swivel and rotate the monitor if I set up a multi-monitor situation. I was a little bummed that it didnt include DVI input (since one of my machines has a DVI out but not an HDMI out) but I dealt with it. The stand is a decent size as well. I keep hoping for monitor bases to shrink but I know theyve got to hold up the screen stably so its alright. I like the hole in the back of the monitor stand and have used that to feed my cables through as a way to help keep unruly cables from running away. The additional USB port is handy as well.

.... the packaging is stupid. i think its got two sheets of paper for documentation, not too sure what theyre about because one of them has a few sentences in just about any language but Hebrew, dont think theyre worth anything to anyone. The box is eco friendly 24 inch monitor in a box smaller than my brothers 21 inch Viewsonic. it does protect the monitor well enough. Just about all of the documentation is the printing on the box itself. This end up represented by a small arrow, you might miss it ( not a word with it) Your direction for opening the box...3 or 4 simplistic drawings not good enough to really do the job. I wanted to preserve the box for transporting the monitor without tearing it apart, i had to get someone else to figure it out. just about the only thing ive seen thats worse are those tight plastic things so much stuff you have to cut open to get to your product. My brothers Viewsonic came with a built in carry handle, its very obvious and easy to fiure out for use. My box? i finally found the handles...cut into the box, they arent marked in any way-some people will not even see them. The monitor itself is pretty good, my brother didnt have to adjust anything it was fine right of the box.....now all Ive got to do is figure out what those 5 buttons next to the power button do, even it is unidentified. The tilt/cable routing, ability to turn on end, and adjustable monitor height are nice but theyre left up to you to figure out. I think its got speakers- someplace. i wanted to use the HDMI port (?) but Ill need someone else to hook into that because I cant do it myself, you have to hook it up by working upside down and backwards (its on the back of the monitor good for hanging on the wall but awkward and inconvenient for me. It looks good and seems to work all right but needs a bit more documentation to help even somebody who knows what theyre doing.
