ViewSonic VG2448A 24 Inch IPS 1080p Ergonomic Monitor with Ultra-Thin Bezels, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB, VGA, and 40 Degree Tilt for Home and Office

First impression right out of the box, this screen has an incredible picture. I have looked at and tried out five or six other ultra wide screen monitors and this by far has the best picture at this price range. Having said all that, I have it yet to use the monitor for any length of time or for extensive purposes, so I will try to come back and update review after I’ve used it for some period of time.

Viewsonics CRTs used to be the best that money could buy. This is the first time Ive bought a viewsonic since they moved to LCD, and I wasnt disappointed. I decided to give them a try again after seeing them used in speedrunning events like GDQ and hearing some of the runners talk about how good they were. I bought this as a second monitor for work so that I could have a vertical monitor next to my normal monitor. Despite being 1080p, the color and picture quality on this is so good that it made my other two monitors look like crap sitting next to it, no joke. Despite its small size and low resolution, this thing has absolutely spectacular image quality. I actually had to turn down some of the settings so that it blended in better because the higher quality was a distraction next to my other monitors. Buying this makes me really want to replace my main monitor with a 4k viewsonic, even this smaller 1080p monitor already outshines my giant 4k monitor. I cant imagine how much better the 4k version would be. Viewsonic used to be known for producing exceptionally high quality CRT monitors, and Im glad to see that theyre still producing the best monitors that money could buy. After buying this, the next time I replace my main monitor, its going to be with a viewsonic. If youre in the market for a small simple second monitor like I was, this thing is simply amazing. You really have to see the image and color quality on this thing, its unreal. But if youre looking for a main monitor, Id definitely recommend going with the larger 4k viewsonic. Thats what Id like eventually for my main monitor after seeing how good this one is. Highly recommended.

I dont think the colors and contrast are as nice as the older monitor this replaced. For an affordable, feature rich monitor of this format I find it very acceptable. Maybe not the best choice for photo editing. Easy to set up and figure out. The sound from the speakers is weak. Matte screen finish. The stand is one of its standout features. It has a pivoting turntable in the base and the vertical adjustment is smooth, requiring little effort. The screen also turns to a vertical orientation in either direction.

Two problems make my purchase of Viewsonic VG2448-H2 dual pack monitors deeply disappointing. I bought these two monitors from Triplenet Pricing INC on Amazon because they are advertised as having Display Port (DP) connections which is required to, “Daisy chain” them together. When I unboxed them I found they each have only 1 DP connection and cannot be Daisy chained. This limitation should be stated on the product description. I then learned that the seller, “Triplenet Pricing INC” does not follow Amazon’s return policies. Their policy states, quote: “Opened and/or used items cannot be returned unless the item is defective; any items returned used will be subject up to a 50% restocking fee. If your order qualified for Free Shipping, the outbound and return shipping costs incurred by TripleNet pricing will be deducted from your refund.” So, in my case these two monitors that I simply looked at but never used and put right back in the box are not returnable. I messaged Triplenet Pricing INC to clarify what charges they would assess and have received no reply. Hopefully this information will spare others from this monitors limitations and seller, “Triplenet Pricing LLC”.

Excellent monitor for writing papers as it has a well designed swivel to Portrait position Much better picture quality than monitor it is replacing and my second monitor as well Im using DP connection and cable on Dell Optiplex SFF PC

This monitor is perfect for my playstation 4, the picture is fantastic! Also serves well in my multi monitor pc setup. The ability to adjust the height of the monitor instead of my chair is very underrated. The tilt feature of the monitor is excellent as well, really comes in handy while reading comics. Great value out of this monitor!

Has a pretty good display. running it on a 2013 Mac Pro bought it as an Amazon renewed product look brand new when it showed up

If you havent been paying attention, good quality desktop computer monitors have gotten a lot cheaper in recent years. A few years ago, IPS displays were way too expensive for most home users, so we settled for TN displays that had poorer contrast, poorer color reproduction, and poorer viewing angles for a much lower price. Now days, good IPS displays like this one are only slightly more expensive than cheaper technologies and are worth the price for home office use or for people who do a lot of photo or video editing or even video game playing. This monitor has 3 connection plugs for easy set-up with almost any computer. It was plug-and-play with my Microsoft Windows system. Just plugged it in and it configured itself. Construction is solid, if a little heavy. The display looks great. Hardcore users may prefer a 27 display and those have gotten a lot cheaper in recent years, too. Or go for two 24 displays side-by-side. You have lots of good reasonably priced options these days.
