I ordered 2 of these projectors to take to a school I run in Kenya, Africa. It is very hard to get good electronics at an affordable price, so I was hoping these would last for a long time. I very carefully wrapped them and carried them to Kenya. Within 2 months the bulb on one projector went bad. Since replacement bulbs are not available in Kenya, I had to wait for a volunteer to come over and bring us one. Then the second projector has stopped working completely. There is a broken piece in side that cannot be sourced in Kenya, and so now Im stuck with a projector that doesnt work, and the company hasnt responded to my messages. I thought for sure that by ordering a name brand I would be getting something higher quality. I bought a cheaper projector that is not name brand, and it is holding up better. What a disappointing purchase with terrible customer service.

My dad needed something in his office to be able to project from a laptop with clients. I almost went with a cheap projector but then after a little research I realized I would need a more expensive one so he could project with the lights on. I found this, and from photos and reviews it looked perfect. Especially the part that says, Packed with 3,600 lumens and a high contrast ratio, this projector produces bright images in nearly any environment. However .... it just doesnt really work how we need it to. When the lights are on you can see the picture, but it is too faint. With the lights off this projector is beautiful. Sadly, thats not what it is needed for. Even worse, I went through the trouble of ordering a tripod projector screen, projector stand, laser pointer, etc. And now they all have to be returned. I think he will be better off just connecting his laptop to a TV through HDMI so that it will be clear, bright, and not faint with the lights on. If my apartment wasnt so small I would love to have this to project movies on the wall! Also super cool is from other reviewers photos where they project movies outside. So all in all, this is an amazing projector. Except that it cannot show clearly with the lights on. From the description I thought that would be possible. Since it cant do what I need it to do for my dad I have to return :(

Not a technical review. Its bright, its clear, good contrast, its an upgrade from an earlier version I had from the same company from years ago.

This has proven to be a very stable and reliable projector thus far. Although it does not display 4K/UHD video, the HD quality is very good. I am especially impressed with the products conservative power consumption, which not only saves on the electricity bill but helps to significantly extend the life of the bulb. I have used 2-3 other digital projectors prior to this and this one comes in about middle in quality. If you are trying to project a picture outside the eco mode does not work very well. It is best suited for indoor situations. Fortunately, the non-eco mode is available for outdoor use, which takes up more power but is much brighter and does not have any problem projecting a picture from 20 feet or so.

Got to say I do enjoy this projector! Hooked up the firestick to it and my Bose Soundlink speaker! Endless movie watching! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to watch movies or play video games on a 120 screen!

I purchased my unit straight from ViewSonic through Amazon. It was a total nightmare. They sent me a product the pixels were already going out on it they tried to tell me it was dust. I said does dust make perfectly round white circles on the screen? I sent photos then they tried telling me that there might’ve been a bubble in the lens. Fortunately I knew exactly what it was it was the DMD chip. The resolution was already going out on this unit and it was brand new. They claim that they test their products before they send them out there’s even a sticker on the side of the box that says they do. They totally wasted my time and here we are 2 1/2 weeks later and I finally got my money back. The quality of the unit was mediocre at best. I will never buy another ViewSonic again.
