Verve Ultra SLS-Free Toothpaste with Fluoride, 4.5 oz. (Pack of 4)

I purchased this Verve toothpaste based on the reviews shown and because I finally ran out of my cache of Rembrandt Canker Sore toothpaste. I was so disappointed when Rembrandt stopped making their formulation, but am finding the Verve to be almost as good. I have used it for about a month and so far it is doing the job of preventing canker sores. If you suffer with frequent canker sores in your mouth I would definitely recommend that you give it a try.

Reason for my purchase: I have always experienced issues with canker sores in my mouth. Essentially, for me, canker sores develop when I am getting sick and they multiply very quickly. As I have aged (I am only 26) I have experienced canker sores from foods, sunflower seeds and I am sure other foods. I eat very clean and am an active individual so I know my diet really isnt a huge contributor to canker sores, other than the sunflower seeds I eat. In addition, I get them from stress; graduate school hasnt helped my cause. How well it worked for me: OUTSTANDING! I have been using this toothpaste for only a week and notice a HUGE difference in my mouth! I can usually tell right away when I am going to get an inflamed taste bud or canker sore. This toothpaste has helped immensely to diminish my existing canker sores, relieve a majority of sore inflammation and prevent new ones from developing. I know this because when I develop one sore I begin to get several other around my mouth. I used to just get them on the outer wall of inside my mouth and now they develop on my tongue, which is twice as painful. I also experience fevers from them, so I really understand how painful they can be. Before I purchased this I used Sensodyne toothpaste, which really helped regarding tooth sensitivity while whitening and this seems to be working well for that as well. I suggest buying this product, even though it is a quantity of 4, it will be worth it. I use it in combination with prevention everyday mouth rinse. I have also purchased prevention oncology mouth rinse, which I use when I have a flare of sores, and they both have helped A LOT in combination. I am finally getting some relief :).

My 10 yr son has always suffered from sores in his mouth. The dr keeps saying he may grow out of them, but weve just seen them get worse as he gets older. We had heard that SLS in toothpaste can cause sores, so we had tried other toothpastes that were SLS free. BUT, he still got sores constantly (multiple sores in his mouth at all times). Finally, I did another search on Amazon and came across this toothpaste. He has been using it for months now and has only had one or two sores since then - and they were when he was fighting a virus (which always makes his sores worse). That is amazing and he has commented on how nice it is to now be in pain. I highly recommend this to others who are prone to sores in their mouth; its the only thing my son has tried that made a big difference.

This is been a true life saver. I tried many different toothpastes trying to figure out how to cut down on the repetitive canker sores (to include sores on my tongue which is probably the absolute worse place to get them). Ive been using this toothpaste for about 3 weeks and have gotten zero sores. After averaging one to two sores a month, its nice to be able to talk and eat with no pain. This toothpaste is also high in anticavity contents (i.e. fluoride) which is another plus. It has .24% of fluoride, which beats out the .15% of fluoride in Sensodyne. I havent really seen any other brand of non-SLS toothpaste with that can match that amount of fluoride. Well worth the money, I am stocking up on this stuff.

These are great. I need SLS free to prevent cankers. Hard finding that. Took years to find these but I love them.

I used to get canker sores on my tongue pretty consistently. While sharing that with a dental hygienist, a number of years ago, she suggested I try Verve Ultra, which does not contain SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (linked with increased incidences of canker sores. For me it was magic! Worth the extra Pennie’s spent!!

If you need SLS-free toothpaste, Verve is the way to go. It doesnt taste weird like some of the others Ive tried and has a nice mint flavor.

As a dentist and practicing oral surgeon for more than 35 years I have had more than a few patients with canker sore complaints...including me. For years only a few toothpaste manufacturers, Toms of Maine and Rembrandt to name two, produced an SLS free brand. Rembrandt no longer manufactures it. There is really no good reason for this ingredient, but every major brand seems to be wedded to it. It has been known for years that SLS is a major cause of canker sores. A few years ago I discovered Verve and have used it daily. It is a wonderful product. Since using it exclusively, canker sores have not occurred for me. By the way, I have no financial or other contact with the company, I just want it continue to thrive so I can continue to purchase it.
