Magnet on stand wasn’t glued on so stand just pops out instead of staying closed on the case. Hard to put on as well and take off. Returned it the same day I got it

This case is overall excellent! Doesn’t get too hot through the back and the kickstand is sturdy and well made. I was going to buy the j saux case originally but it was sold out and this was a bit cheaper. No regrets though it is really well made and the design in the back gives a top tier luxury vibe. Also comes with 2 screen protectors that work great.

I purchased this for $22.99, personally a bit upset that as of writing this review it is now priced at $13.99, four days after my order, but I still think the price I paid was worth it. The fit is perfect with no loose edges. This does make it a bit difficult to put on and take off. The easiest way I found to take it off was by pushing the case at the top edges where its looser. This puts strain on the shoulder buttons and triggers. Not a huge deal to me as Id rather have a secure fit than a loose case but worth noting if that will bother you. It fits in the case that comes with the Steam Deck. The product images make the checkerboard pattern on the back look prominent, however, in real life, its not that noticeable unless the light is hitting it just right (which I prefer). I think the glossy bits on the case accent the Steam Decks design very well, and the textured pattern on the grips is great. The reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is that the inside of the case where the checkerboard pattern was seemed to have some residue or something from the manufacturing process all over this part of the case. I only noticed this because one little spot didnt have this and it was noticeable. Nothing came off with just my finger, so I cleaned it with a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol and its all the same now, but the back is more of a greyish color instead of the white in the product images. Its possible this was the coloring they used which would make me a bit concerned that it would rub off on the Steam Deck. Its hard to explain without pictures and I had already cleaned it before thinking of taking pictures (pictures in this review are from after I cleaned it). If you get this case I recommend wiping that part before putting it on your Steam Deck. I debated leaving 3 stars or even less, but everything else with the case was fine and I noticed it before putting it on my Steam Deck. If I hadnt noticed it and it had left marks on my Steam Deck this review would have a very different tone and rating, so beware if you purchase one for yourself. The kickstand is great with adjustable angles, made of metal, and held in place with magnets. Worth noting if you use a Stand/Dock it may get in the way so youll have to put your Steam Deck off-centered to fit. Wish it was removable for this use case. Another reviewer noted the magnet on the stand wasnt glued correctly on their case, however, mine was not like this and was glued correctly. Screen protectors are OK and get the job done. The included microfiber cloth to clean the Steam Deck screen kept leaving little fibers and specs on the screen so I would recommend using your own. It lines up perfectly covering the whole display.

I purchased this case along with a few others to help add a little style and protection to my Steam Deck. Out of all of the cases this one I liked the most. However, there was one major flaw that I kept experiencing with the case itself. Packaging was great overall. Presentation was good and it came with a screen protector and microfiber cloth. The feel of the case was excellent. The clear plastic felt almost like a matte glass or acted that way. Really loved the feel. Didnt pick up any fingerprints and felt great in the hand. The case didnt add as much bulk as I thought it would initially, so that was another plus. Everything was great until I got to the kickstand. The reason I purchased this kickstand case over others was because it was a magnetic kick stand, and I loved the design of it. Now when I took the case out of the packaging, the kick stand just swung out and wouldnt stay attached like it was supposed to. Noticed that the glue attached to one of the magnets in order for the stand to stay closed, did not work properly so the magnet that was supposed to keep it together wasnt attached to the case as it should be. I Immediately contacted the seller and let them know the issue I was experiencing. They were very quick to respond back and just asked that I send them a picture of the issue I was having. Sent the picture to them and they sent me a replacement case. When I got the replacement case, the same exact thing happened. As soon as I opened the packaging and took the case out, the kick stand swung open and would not stay attached due to the same issue. Reached out to the seller again and asked if they checked the cases before sending them out as this was the second case I had received that was like this. I was told that they had newer models that fixed the issue but some of the older ones were already shipped out. They offered to replace it again and I asked them if there was another model that I could get as I was afraid the next case I received would have the same issue. While waiting for the replacement case, I tried using some super/gorilla glue I had at home to see if I could get the magnet to stick to the case. Unfortunately, that didnt work either. They sent me a replacement clear TPU case with a kickstand that attaches with something similar to a command strip. I dont like the case I ended up with as much as I liked this one. The thought behind the case and the design are excellent. The execution is not quite there, so I cannot recommend this particular model based on my experience. I will add though the customer service that I received from the seller was outstanding. Replacements arrived pretty quickly, within 2 days at the most. Would definitely purchase from the seller again, just not this case.
