This is a heavy duty metal stand. The depth is adjusted and secured into place with a bolt (tool included) so you dont have to deal with springs. Works perfectly for a Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book 2. Its worth every penny.

Works like it’s supposed to. Easy to set up. I expected a thin piece of plastic but this is actually got some heavy metal on it to make it not tip over with the weigh of the laptop.
