Love this radio! Easy 11 meter conversion, did it myself in about 10 minutes. Many compliments on how it sounds. Minor modification to fit in cb hole in my T800 KW. With Stryker sr- a10 antenna’s no adjustments to achieve 1.0 swr

It is what it is.. so. exactly what is it.. Well, its a fancy, high powered CB. Yes it says 10 Meter Amateur Mobile Transceiver on it, but, on truly designed for the ham community has Roger Beep, Channels, Talk Back, and a Clarifier. another way to know its actually -designed- to be modified to work on 11 meters.. the surface mount diode that needs to be removed.. has a freakin ARROW POINTING TO IT!. .I mean duhh.. (that being said, unless youre quite adept with a small soldering iron, and / or willing to throw it in the trash if you mess up, because if you do this.. it does void the warranty.. completely, so dont go crying to the Stryker or your dealer for something you screwed up. Now. all that being said.. and knowing what it actually is.. and what it actually not. aka.. being honest. This is a great radio. dont dork with it. dont try to tune it up.. it is well designed and does, what it does.. great. If you want 11 meters.. have someone thats good, remove the diode or resister or whatever the heck it is.. orrr.. if you have any hesitancy at all. go to the Stryker Club facebook group, look up the dealers that Stryker lists as a registered dealer. or.. proceed at your own risk. I see no reason to even change mics. the stock one is quite good. Ive got a Stryker, a Galaxy, couple of Cobras, as well as Ham gear (Alinco, bunch of Yeasus, Kenwood) and while this is not a Ham rig.. its not meant to be, ,but. it does what it does. .very darn well. Buy it, Use it, Dont try to tune it and youll be happy. Treat it like any piece of well designed and executed gear.. (unless you just like burning up rigs)

After reading other reveiws( the negative ones ) i would say these poeple are too stupid and have no buiz buying or operating the fine as kind equipment...this is an export ham radio...out of the box it will only do the 28 mhz band..if you are buying this radio as a citezens band radio then modifications will need to be done..after clipping the very tiny almost microscopic resistor on the inside of radio..it will open up the bands from 25 mhz to 30 mhz or something close to that effect..the radio itself is bad @$$..adjustable wattage from .5 w to 60 w..great on air audio..styker hit a home run with this mobile unit am,fm,usb,lsb..talk skip all day long with this thing from literaly coast to coast..bells and whistles galore..

I was very excited. My smile turned into a frown real quick. As I noticed that the radio was scratched straight out the box.

The best mobile radio Ive ever owned! Lots of surprises and all good. I read extensively about it but the amazing filters were not mentioned. The recieve is amazingly clear. Everything works and very well. I replaced an RCI2950 that cost 50% more when new. Very happy new Stryker owner!
