My buddy used to loan me his set, his came in a hard case. When I was able to purchase my set, it came in a soft case. Ive had one of the connector ends on a 57 completely fall out, and another the entire front end popped off during a session. The clips tend to pick up weird structural noise which makes my floor tom tracks completely useless. I dont really hit hard either.

Standard mics for live performance. More expensive gear out there but these are great for average live music performers and sound engineers. Don’t use mounting clips so don’t know how well they work.

This offer is a steal, and the clamps that come with the mics are very nice. Youll need a heavy-duty boom or low standing mic stand for the 52A. Some of the metal washers had slipped out of their plastic bags during transit and I had to search through the case for them, but everything was inside when I received the package.

I Recorded a little rudimentary snare drumming with the SM57, and with my pork pie snare, I hear it live with a lot of ring and overtone. However, on the recording, the drum sounds as clean as I have ever heard it! It really amazed me how great of a sound was produced out of these microphones!

Awesome set, I already have overheads and this was like a SM57 3-mics with a free 52 for the price, and they come in a nice case. Very happy with this purchase, I use it for recording live performances.
