Sennheiser HD 600 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

I purchased HD600 on March 2015,white screen(baffle) and I knew it I gonna love them because I owned HD650 before and I like it but bass was to much and heavy,alot of my music sounded to dark for my taste tought mids and highs amazing smooth and detailed!Senn HD600 same features lighter bass but still warm,enough for me,1 word sublime!Next purchase gonna be a good SS amp and next headphone HD800,probably on next year!

great headphones, have to fidget with it to feel good, might hurt ears if ur ears poke out a bit.

As a studio engineer and producer, Ive been wanting to buy these headphones for at least several years. However I put off purchasing them in favor of getting other less expensive headphones.

Too expensive, Sennheiser said it is neutral tuning. So, there is tuning? Cannot the truth of sound from it. Not quite reference, compared to some other headphone.

Senheiser HD 600, what more can I say?,flat response, precise, a unique sound, maybe not the most beautiful but if one of the best among the best high-end...

Ive owned these cans before but never with a decent amp. They just seemed boring compared to my Grados. But hooked to the iFi Black Label, theyre dazzling. Compared to the HD800, theyre not as spacious. The soundstage is more intimate. But the flat response is anything but a bore. The speed of attack creates a terrifically detailed, textured presentation. The veiled top end is just flat treble. Unsweetened for effect, it makes the presentation cleaner. These cans can be cranked up louder to let in more lush mids and articulate, detailed bass. I own trendier cans - the HD800, the LCD-2C and the DT-1990. This $300 headphone, designed before most of todays top rivals were even on the drawing board, is a fierce condender. They dont just feel pleasant (which they do). They are surprisingly detailed and textured. They gave my old music a hard kick. I heard details Id never heard before - which would be nothing new with the LCD-2, the LCD-X or the HD800 - but to make that claim about Sennheisers long-in-the-tooth workhorse really makes me rub my eyes in disbelief.

To start, these are not closed-back/noise-cancelling headphones, so amazon should remove that as something to rate these.

I have tried many headphones over the years and most add some colour to the music, whether it be too much bass, as most are now, or a little over the top on tinny treble. These are the most neutral phones I have ever heard and a joy to listen with. With the price at around £200 these have got to be the best bang for your buck if you want neutral sounding headphones.

Its like living in a basement all yer life and not knowing theres an outside..
