Sennheiser HD 600 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

These headphones are for professional use, the are very balanced and with the open back take pressure off the ear drum allowing longer mixing sessions. They are not suitable for personal use where you do not want to disturb people in close proximity

If you plan to buy a pair of hd600s make sure you have an amp to power them, they sound amazing.

Excellent Reference Headphone !

All the Sennheiser headphones I tried and reviewed are well built and of high quality standards. Everyones preferences are different, and Sennheiser truly has something for everyone--whether a bassy soundcurve for punch (for dance music, DJing, and fans of genres of music which rhythm is important to them), a neutral soundcurve for authenticity (for Classical music, movies, music as it is originally mastered, Musical Theatre, and TV series), or a trebly soundcurve for clarity (for audiobooks, news, sports, talkshows, and vocal music if understanding what is being said/sung is more important than reproducing how they sound in real life). The HD 600 is the well-built, open-back pair of headphones with that neutral soundcurve Ive been looking for. If I have second thoughts, I will post an update.

Ive owned for a couple of months now and they are holding up much better than any other headphones Ive used. I have a huge head and they are very comfortable and I regularly wear them for 8+ hours at a time with only short breaks. Most other headbands tend to get stretched out due to the size of my head but these feel like I just bought them still.

I was hesitant to spend this amount of money on a pair of headphones but I know Sennheiser are an excellent company so thought I’d take a chance. They are extremely good headphones and you certainly get what you pay for. Took a while to arrive but very happy with them.

Excellent, neutral sound. One of the best supplemental monitoring/referencing additions I believe you can make to a home studio for example for the money.

Muy buen sonido para escuchar música en casa, de todo tipo. Quizá algo peor en rock, donde le falta pegada y rotundidad, pero excepcional para clásica, electrónica, jazz, pop, etc. Limpio y compensado, nada sobrecargado de graves (como otros modelos).

These headphones are amazing. The only problem is that when I used them on my iphone 4s, I found I couldnt get a full sound without a headphone amp. Seeing as that is not a problem as much as it is a reality, I give these headphones 5 stars.

These are by far the best headphones Ive heard. I never really heard the reverb of any recordings until I listened to these. My only complaint is that my ears become fatigued faster with these headphones.
