SENNHEISER HD 599 Open Back Headphone, Ivory

I wouldnt normally spend $200 on headphones, but these just happened to be $100 off at Christmas time. Light, great comfort and amazing sound.

Wanted new headphone with the open back so I can still hear whats going on in the house. These are quality. Sound is amazing, comfort is as well. (note it will be a little tight at first but wont take long to mold to your liking). But love getting absolutely immersed in the sound!

These are absolute trash. The soundstage is the worst Ive ever heard in my life. Insane amount of low end distortion when you run it beyond 50-60% volume, not to mention the sound signatures coming through sound like absolute garbage. I listened to several reference material that Im very familiar with and I was flabbergasted at how bad the material sounded through these. I even ran them through my UAD Apollo Twin interface and it just amplifies the horrible sound signature.

I’ve owned a lot of overear headphones. both open and closed back. Personally I find these some of the best and my personal favourite at the price point.

Los audífonos están geniales, cómodos y suenan mejor de lo que esperaba. Se distingen todos los sonidos sin que se opaque ni predomine ninguno, impresionante. Pero esperaba poder cambiar de un cable de 3.5 a otro sin problemas, pero no es así tienes que casi desarmar los audífonos completamente para cambiar por alguno de los dos cables que vienen incluidos en la caja. Yo buscaba versatilidad pues necesito un cable largo, un cable corto y un cable con entrada lightning y sinceramente pensé que estos audífonos eran la solución para mi problema pero no es así. La entrada de los audífonos es de 2.5mm por lo que necesitas un cable 2.5mm a 3.5mm que aparte quepa por el agujero específicamente diseñado para los cables incluidos y aparte tiene una especie de seguro que a la vez de evitar que los cables se desconecten también evita que uses un cable que no sea sennheisser. Una lástima porque amo el sonido pero no los puedo utilizar en todas situaciones que quisiera.

Theyre comfortable, and they still allow me to hear my guitar while Im playing. They connect to my Audio Box without a need for an adapter. The only complaint I might have is I wish I could make them Bluetooth when I want to listen to my music when Im going to the kitchen. But literally, everything else about these headphones is amazing and I just cant recommend them enough.
