I returned these immediately. I cant believe Sennheiser would manufacture headphones with such a muffled, muddy sound, but the pair I received sounded like the music was coming from behind a wall with an indistinct soundstage.

The bass may not be as loud as other headphones, but the clarity and detail more than make up for it. I personally prefer these over the 6XX, though I understand many people would disagree.

Ive tried these a while back before buying them and I am still baffled about how good these are for the price.

I purchased the Senns after my old AKGs went south after many years. I use them to mix and monitor voiceovers and audiobook narration and to record jazz-both analog and digitally.

They have clear sound and decent comfort, though I had to tune them with an equalizer for a little bit to get them to my liking. The headphones material feels cheap when you hold them but its not a big issue as they ultimately get the job done. You can easily drive them even with a smartphone. It was an upgrade from Philips SHP9600 and overall Im quite happy!

I purchased these via recommendation from all of my friends. I have known of Sennheiser before but hadnt had the opportunity to try one of their headsets before. Something to note, unless you have a hardware or software EQ. You will not enjoy these. Studio headphones are designed to have a very flat sound stage which these do. If youre looking for something fun with lots of bass or a more V shape sound stage without needing any setup, look elsewhere.

These are really good headphones. They sound pretty neutral with no exaggerated base or treble. Work really well when playing games. Very light. If you want a good set of open back headphones these are a really good value.

These headphones are very nice and comfortable. And most importantly, they sound great. I mainly use my headphones at home, and I must say that Amazon HD music sounds amazing. I dont need more expensive headphones than these to enjoy HiFi music at home. Highly recommend.
