This product is amazing for the price u find most 165hz monitors for over 200 bucks but I got this for 190. The only problem is that I have 1 dead pixel but it doesnt bother me because its in the very top right corner. 1 other thing to note is that it wont fall under warranty, if u dont have more than 3 dead pixels. Other than that the quality is great and instructions are very clear.

So, Im going to address the elephant in the room first. I purchased this monitor in August of 2020. It did work great for 90% of the year that I owned it. It reaches 165hz natively without needing to do any kind of overclocking or the like. It has a nice response time in games and is a decent size without being overly large in the event you want a multi-monitor setup. It more than fits the bill for its price point. However, I said it worked great for 90% of the year. This is because the monitor developed some white spots that obscured vision and were very unpleasing to look at around June of 2021. The reason as to why this review still has 5 stars is because of the absolutely amazing customer service Sceptre provided me. I contacted the TA email, and they asked me for the standard stuff: make and model, what the model # was, etc. Then, they told me to make an RMA request to get it fixed. This was done for free, even without having any kind of warranty or insurance. Furthermore, they even provided me with packaging to safely ship the monitor with, and a new adapter/stand upon its return after being fixed free of charge. All I had to pay was for the shipping of the package itself. So while I did have a minor cosmetic issue, (some white spots showing up on the monitor), the amazing customer service and overall reliability of the monitor otherwise let me confidently write out a 5-star review. Youre a great company Sceptre, and Ill make sure to keep you guys in mind for future tech purchases.

Honestly this monitor is amazing. It feels like a $300 monitor. I was skeptical at first. I didnt know the brand and there were no reviews when i purchased. But im glad i made the leap. Smooth for games, bright and colorful for all uses. This outshines my old hp 25vx in everyway. It also has a soft matte antiglare surface. I appreciate this soo much as my old monitor was impossoble to game on during the day with blinds open. I tried taking some angled shots to show the anti glare comparison. Im getting 165hz with a gtx 1050. It allows me to turn gsync on but Im not sure how much of a difference its making. It looks great all around. Huge recommend.

Tbh I did not know what to expect from a 144hz monitor under $200. At first i was like,oh a 144hz monitor under 200 shouldnt be that great, but MAN WAS I WRONG. This display is truly the best ive seen in quite a while and also has some great features built inside. The buttons as usual to navigate through the menu but overall not bad.It has 3 HDMI ports up to 144hz and a DP for up to 165 which is honestly pretty impressive if you ask me. With Freesync its pretty cool but for me Im running Nvidia so i cant get that feature. DARN IT. Nah but overall a really good monitor for its price, right now its currently not available for the 24 inch model but if you ever see this monitor for sale again, YOU NEED TO GET IT BECAUSE IT WONT DISAPPOINT YOU NO MATTER WHAT. It also has speakers in the back but theyre k if you ask me wouldnt blow you out of the water but like lets be honest would anyone expect great speakers from a monitor? Cause that would be a whole different story.

So, I’ve attached some photos of the screen tearing within the monitor after just 2.5 months of use. I tried a new cord, different slots, and reset the monitor—still tearing… It tears when using 165 hz and 144 hz settings. The tearing is slowly getting worse and flickers more now. I’m pretty frustrated about this purchase. I got bamboozled! I’d really just like a $200 monitor that doesn’t just start failing after 2-3 months. I’ll edit this rating if customer service helps with a replacement or refund. UPDATE: They honored the 1-year warranty and tested my monitor for free with a free shipping label. After about a week, they claimed it had “no issues as of yet.” I told them to test it again and to leave the monitor on for a while. They emailed me back after doing so and concluded that there was indeed an issue. They replaced it with a brand new monitor which works perfectly as of now. It was all a bit of a hassle, but they fixed my issue, and I’m happy with it. It’s a good monitor for the price. I was just unlucky and got a faulty monitor. It happens! Great customer service.

I hardly have any qualms with this monitor. But three things that might be a deal breaker for you. Cons 1) The mount is a bit wobbly even when screwed in tightly 2) Back light bleed 3) Dead pixel(s) so far I only have one dead pixel and it isn’t all that bothersome but if continues to deteriorate I do plan on updating this review. Pros 1) Solid price point 2) Clean minimal bezels 3) 165hz 4) auto shut off feature when not in use (I play PS4) 5) No input lag 6) Image quality is great

At the current moment I have it hooked up to my xbox to test things out as Im gonna use this monitor for my pc. After going into the settings and fixing the picture a little bit it looks great so far, The speakers that come with the monitor are pretty bad tho but thats about it really.

These monitors are so good, I have 2 of them. The Positives: The low profile bezel. This makes the transition between multiple of these monitors very seamless. The monitor settings menu is very easy to navigate and adjust quickly Color quality and brightness have not faded over the 2 years I have been using my monitors. There is no light blur like you would get with LED monitors IPS color sharpness is a known feature and this monitor lives up to the hype. The negatives: Viewing the monitor at an angle is dimmer than other monitors. The monitor has to be facing you for the best experience. I often use my secondary for opening reference so I dont always look at it head on. Despite the small edge profile, its not completely edge to edge. There is about a 3mm thick border.

    Greater than one week

Bought this as a second monitor for my computer. I love it a lot, I dont see any clouding on solid black (contrary to my phones shoddy picture. just take my word for it, looks fine in person), solid white is blinding (yay!), the viewing angles are amazing-- I can literally look at it from the side and the colors still look pretty accurate, it apparently gets closer to 144hz than my main monitor can (143.999hz vs 143.992hz, although seems pretty insignificant in the long run), and it even has speakers (one of the main reasons i bought it). Okay, enough praise, time to tell you the few flaws Ive experienced. First of all, while it /does/ have speakers, they just sound.. really crappy. I mean, I guess thats to be expected, you usually dont buy monitors for the speakers, but Im just saying. Dont buy these for sound quality. Im pretty sure even a cheap TV could do better. Secondly, the built in UI just feels kind of awkward to use. You get a lot of options, yeah, but this thing only has like, four buttons for using it. Its a little clunky, really. And finally, the fabled one issue that I have with this: Occasionally it likes to start flickering, or just give up on trying to detect an input signal from my computer entirely. If you buy this and have this start happening, the solution is to just turn the monitor off and unplug it entirely for ten seconds. It happens enough that I end up internally going this again? every time it happens, but not nearly enough that I need to return it. TL;DR: Great monitor, bad speakers, awkward controls, sometimes requires unplugging.
