I am really impressed with this Gaming Monitor, its a really huge impact between 60hz and 144hz/165hz. The brightness is just good, so are the colors, though the image quality... well... I sit 2 feet away from the monitor and sometimes the image is blurry, but overall you really dont notice it, its not a big deal for me. I was gonna accept the fact that I was truly trash at fps games but that all change with this monitor, WOW, I get more wins a whole bunch, the smoothness is so good when playing fps. You react faster, aiming is more easier, etc. Im the 400th reviewer...

I was looking for a monitor, and my friend recommended me this one. The monitor stand may look a bit weak, but it does the job well. The monitor I received has one dead pixel but its negligible. The speakers are awful, but you shouldnt be using them anyways (please just use headphones). It can tilt a few degrees up and down, but you cant adjust the height or rotate it, which is a bit of a shame. Overall, its a good monitor, especially for its price (I bought it for 180). If you want an alternative, Id recommend the AOC 24G2.

Have two of these monitors and I love them. First IPS monitors ive own after coming from 22 TN panels (couldnt stand the poor viewing angles). They are very nice displays with nice stands (though I have mine mounted with the included VESA). Super thin and light monitors. Had a sceptre monitor like 15 years ago and forgot about the brand complete until I was in the market for a new displays. I feel like for a monitor of this size, with an IPS display and 144hz, i dont think you can find a better deal. And as far as Im concerned, they are truly borderless, and look beautiful mounted side by side, almost seamless screen to screen. The one annoyance i have is that when the monitor is on, but not receiving a signal, the power indicator light flashes on and off with a blue light. This really only annoys me because my monitors are set up in my bedroom, and this is super annoying when I try to sleep (I can sleep in a brightly lit room, but a repetitive flashing kills me). This is minor however as if you click the power button it switches to a solid red light.

Monitor is good, but Im not sure if its $280 good. The lacking level of color range seems like this would be unideal to anyone playing an aesthetic heavy game. This is an understandable compromise, but Im not sure it thats a reasonable compromise considering the $280 price tag. I considered returning this monitor over this issue, but I would rather not go through the hassle and potential shipping and restocking fee. Pro: + Physical aesthetics are pleasing + Picture quality is good + Minimal apparent lag + No notable motion blur (so far, still testing) Neutral ~ Monitor audio is rather quiet. The number of people who care about this is probably extremely low ~ DVI 1.2, HDMI 2.0, only comes with a DVI cable ~ Power cable is really short, which is a slight annoyance if you are trying to route the power cable down a specific path for cable management ~ There is an option to set user configurations. A welcome addition would be to allow a few user profiles for different user profiles Con: - Menu is awkward and slighly annoying to navigate - Picture configuration range seems limited compared to my TV. I had to max or nearly max several settings for a particular aesthetic console game to get the color vividness I was expecting.

***READ ENTIRE THING*** Pros: -unboxing and assembling was easy and simple -the design is simple and aggressive -the display colors is decent to the eye -VESA mounting is a bonus -the external powerbrick/cable isnt some small dinky short brick, it actually has quite a bit of length, other high refreshrate monitor listings skimp on this, its a small thing but makes a difference -includes a DisplayPort cable (yay) Cons: -Stand is a little wobbily (get a aftermarket stand if youre a little physical with your desk) -Didnt include a HDMI cable, fair given to cut costs -Scuff on the display panel (yes i removed the plastic cover), jarring when white pixels are shown, not too bad when darker colors Notes: -I received the wrong* monitor. I actually received a monitor of the same panel type, refreshrate but at 1440p instead of 1080p, so its a roulette when buying the 27 inch variant I guess -165hz is only available with DisplayPort 1.4, check your GPUs specification for compability.

I tested 4 of my laptops with this monitor, thought my experience might be useful to others, in regards to refresh rate in particular. I think the most interesting thing I found was that my gaming laptop outputs 165hz over HDMI, while everything youll read before buying says 144hz is the max. Keep reading if you want to see my experience testing various laptops: When you connect the monitor, you go into Display Settings, Advanced Display settings. Click on Display Adapter Properties and then List All Modes. This will show you a list of output options, and you will be able to see here the max refresh rate that you are going to be able to get with your current connection. Another thing to note is that it will say here if the video output is coming from you integrated graphics card or, a dedicated video card. Here was my experience testing various laptops: 3-year-old Acer Aspire E 15: 120hz over HDMI Output options available: HDMI Unfortunately, the refresh rate maxes out at 120hz, I was not able to get 144hz over HDMI. The video signal is coming from the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520. This laptop also has a nvidia geforce 940mx graphics card, but for whatever the reason, it does not act as a standalone graphics card, and therefore does not provide the video signal for outputting via HDMI. Brand spanking new HP Elitebook that I just got from work: 165 over Thunderbolt USB-C, 120hz over HDMI Output options: HDMI, Thunderbolt USB-C I was surprised to run into the same HDMI problem as my Acer, which is that I maxed at 120hz and couldnt get 144hz. I think it is misleading for so much of the description of this product to say 144hz over HDMI, but my top of the line brand new HP Elitebook maxes at 120hz. Fortunately, it gave me 165hz from the Thunderbolt USB-C port, which I connected using a Thunderbolt USB-C to DisplayPort cable. Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop: 165hz over HDMI, 165hz over MiniDisplayPort Output options: HDMI, MiniDisplayPort This is where I was surprised, because my gaming laptop was able to give me 165hz over HDMI. Everything in the description of this product says max for HDMI is 144hz. I will note here that, the Display Adapter for my HDMI output is the dedicated GeForce GTX 1660Ti graphics card, instead of the integrated graphics that I was seeing on my other two laptops. Also, a note about using a high speed USB cable: People on the internet keep talking about needing a certain HDMI cable to get higher refresh rates. I think thats misleading... the hardware you are outputting from is what really matters, which is the whole point Im trying to make in my review here. The stable 165hz that I am currently getting with this gaming laptop, is with using a Wii U Nintendo branded HDMI cable. So, a solid cable, but not highspeed rated or anything like that. I will say though, I used a cheaper HDMI cable that I recently got on Amazon, and while I was getting 165hz, I started experiencing drop outs while using that cable. Like it couldnt handle the bandwidth, and stuttered for a few seconds. So yes, your HDMI cable is going to need to be halfway decent, but buying an expensive highspeed HDMI cable is not going to magically get you high refresh rates if you laptop cant push those refresh rates to begin with. And finally, a Macbook Air (2015): 120hz via MiniDisplayPort Output options: MiniDisplayPort I used my MiniDisplayPort to Displayport Cable to connect my wifes Macbook Air to this display. I attempted to configure the second display and it maxed out at 120hz. So, kinda like my 2 non-gaming laptops I described above. But, I was a bit surprised, because the 2 PCs that maxed out at 120hz were connected via HDMI, I thought the MiniDisplayPort on the Macbook Air might go a little higher. Hope I was able to pass on some useful information about using this display on a laptop! Thanks for reading.

Tbh I did not know what to expect from a 144hz monitor under $200. At first i was like,oh a 144hz monitor under 200 shouldnt be that great, but MAN WAS I WRONG. This display is truly the best ive seen in quite a while and also has some great features built inside. The buttons as usual to navigate through the menu but overall not bad.It has 3 HDMI ports up to 144hz and a DP for up to 165 which is honestly pretty impressive if you ask me. With Freesync its pretty cool but for me Im running Nvidia so i cant get that feature. DARN IT. Nah but overall a really good monitor for its price, right now its currently not available for the 24 inch model but if you ever see this monitor for sale again, YOU NEED TO GET IT BECAUSE IT WONT DISAPPOINT YOU NO MATTER WHAT. It also has speakers in the back but theyre k if you ask me wouldnt blow you out of the water but like lets be honest would anyone expect great speakers from a monitor? Cause that would be a whole different story.

I liked the monitor for what I used it for which was gaming and multitasking, but you definitely get what you pay for. Im by no means a monitor snob as this was pretty much the 2nd monitor Ive bought and this one was supposed to be much better than my other monitor (My other monitor is the 24 75hz acer which has way better colors, I just wanted to upgrade refresh rate). The colors on this monitor are pretty terrible no matter how much you mess with the settings. I was able to put up with that, though. I am going on my 3rd month with this monitor and the display port stopped working so I am going to return the monitor. Sceptre customer support was terrible. They dont answer the phone. Amazon didnt really help much either besides returning. tldr: Monitor is pretty good for gaming, the colors suck, customer support sucks, and my display port broke after 3 months
