I received this ssd and it worked right out of the box. It is being used on my new M1 Mac mini via a USB-C port and now contains my complete User folder. I love the speed of this drive and how I can slip it into my shirt pocket. One of the best products I have ever purchases. I would rate this the highest rating possible and will buy it again when the need arrises.

Not charging, not connecting, just not working properly at all. Very disappointed with all of these issues that keep arising. Guessing the products need to be fully checked before shipping to be sure all is intact before selling and shipping.

This works great but DOES NOT WORK with the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera. Do NOT purchase this model for that camera. Only the T5 model works!!!

Computer cannot even detect this drive when I plug it in. Its getting power since the blue light turns on but nothing else happens after that. Have tried multiple computers/laptops but it doesnt seem to be readable.

Fantastically quick; super reliable.

After formatting the drive using APFS, Blackmagic Disk Speed Test typically shows 850/890 MB/s read/write speeds when hooked up to my 16in 2019 MacBookPro through a Caldigit T3+ dock. You might get slightly better results if connected directly to the computer. More than fast enough for my purposes that will include scientific data processing as well as some occasional video editing.

I have owned the T5 for many years, which I have used to make quick backups of large amounts of data (eg an entire laptop SSD hard drive before updating an OS or going on a trip). A full SSD laptop hard drive backup takes merely minutes on the T5. Unfortunately you cannot do that on the T7. After copying a few GB of data, it starts slowing down considerably, to a point where backing up a full laptop SSD hard drive would take weeks to complete on the T7 instead of minutes on the T5. So the T7 has been in a drawer since then. I might have used it maybe 3 times since I bought it when it came out a few years ago.

Been using it to play Overwatch off of for a few weeks now. No issues whatsoever. Runs the game faster than my hard drive.
