> 3 dayIf your ChannelMaster DVR+ is sluggish, the problem is likely the external hard drive. A SSD works faster because it doesn’t require a moving arm, lasers, and a spinning disc to access videos/data. This SSD formatted and installed correctly by the DVR+ system, and so far (2 weeks in) DVR video replay has been very snappy! FYI, a bad HD can hold the entire ChannelMaster DVR+ system hostage, so if you’re having the same issue, try this SSD!

> 3 dayI bought this SSD on 9/14/2020 and it constantly overheats and unmounts from my Mac. This seems to cause my Mac to lock up/crash as well. The SSD gets hot to the touch. Ive switched back to my WD My Passport USB HDD and it works just fine. Ill be looking to get a replacement/return for this Samsung SSD. Just not reliable. I recommend folks to avoid this SSD.

> 3 dayAlthough the two terabyte capacity is only half my older four terabyte Western Digital drive, it is worth the purchase. As a karaoke host, I was able to save roughly fifteen seconds per singer-song. This resulted in saving fifteen minutes during a four hour period with sixty singer-songs.

> 3 dayI had a 1 TB Sandisk external SSD that died on me after a few months. I expect this one to last me for as long as I need it. Build quality is superb. Almost feels like holding a credit card. I also like the light indicator on it.

> 3 dayI have been going through hell and back to find an external hard drive that will let me both store and play PlayStation five games. It seems like that might not even be an option. It’s not the products fault. Which is why I am so grateful for Amazons return policy. Seems good for PlayStation 4 games though.

26-09-2024First of all, I had two 1TB Sandisk SSDs (from Costco) on my iMac plugged into the USB-C ports. The Mac didnt recognized the drives on a soft reboot and I eventually got tired of fiddling with them. The Samsung works flawlessly with the Mac USB-C port and is noticably faster than the Sandisk. I mean really faster.
